How it works

Clients connect to the Streamable HTTP endpoint at https://ullasopskrifter.dk/mcp. The endpoint requires no authentication. After connecting, an MCP client can call the available tools and use their returned recipe or category data in an agent workflow.

The service supports both broad discovery and targeted retrieval. A text search can inspect recipe titles, ingredients, and instructions, while an ingredient search narrows results to recipes whose ingredient lists contain specified text. Category tools expose the category hierarchy and recipes assigned to a category, including child categories.

Setup and configuration

For Claude Code, add the remote server with:

The README specifically shows this configuration style for Cursor and VS Code. Other clients that support custom connectors can use the same endpoint with no authentication. No environment variables are documented as necessary.

Tools and capabilities

Limitations and notes

This is a read-only service: agents cannot create, edit, or delete recipes. Results are limited to published content. Recipes and images belong to ullasopskrifter.dk and are provided for personal, non-commercial use according to the README. The MIT licence in the repository applies only to its documentation and registry metadata, not to the recipes or images.
