What MSPStuff Switchboard MCP server does
MSPStuff Switchboard MCP server gives AI clients one hosted connection to data from the MSP platforms an organization has enabled. Supported integrations include ConnectWise PSA, ConnectWise Automate, ConnectWise RMM (Asio), ConnectWise ScreenConnect, NinjaOne, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Cisco Meraki, SentinelOne, Webroot, Axcient x360Recover, ImmyBot, Pax8, Xero, and Ninety. Datto RMM, Hudu, and Trend Vision One are listed as planned rather than available integrations.
The service is relevant to the 🎧 Support & Service Management category because it can help review service records, operational data, device status, licensing, agreements, and related business information across connected systems. Example questions include finding long-open Help Desk tickets, identifying devices that have not checked in, comparing Pax8 seats with assigned Microsoft 365 licenses, and reviewing agreements that renew in a given quarter.
MSPStuff Switchboard MCP server is read-only today. Requests that would change data are rejected before reaching the underlying platform. Each response is traced to the tool call that produced it, while the accessible data depends on the organization’s connected platforms and the administrator’s per-user permissions.
How it works
The hosted service exposes one Streamable HTTP endpoint: https://www.mspstuff.io/mcp. A single connection can cover all platforms connected by the company, rather than requiring a separate MCP endpoint for each vendor. Tool discovery requires a signed-in member; the initial initialize request can be made without a token.
Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot use OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. Claude Code can also use OAuth. Cursor requires an access key, and Claude Code can use one instead of OAuth. Keys use the Authorization: Bearer mspk_... header. The authorization server is Supabase Auth, and protected-resource metadata is published at the documented .well-known URL.
Setup and configuration
There is nothing to install from the repository. The repository contains documentation and directory metadata; the hosted servers are operated by MSPStuff. An MSPStuff account is required, and beta access is handled through the MSPStuff beta application.
Add the remote endpoint as a custom MCP server in the client. Claude clients use their connector settings, while Copilot Studio adds it as a Model Context Protocol tool. Claude Code can register it with claude mcp add --transport http mspstuff https://www.mspstuff.io/mcp. Cursor uses a project or user mcp.json entry containing the URL and an Authorization header with a key created in MSPStuff settings. Do not commit a real key to a repository.
Tools and capabilities
MSPStuff Switchboard MCP server provides read-only, cross-platform queries over the integrations enabled for the account. Supported uses include:
- Reviewing PSA agreements, renewal timing, and agreement value.
- Finding tickets that have remained open the longest on a Help Desk board.
- Checking device check-in status across organizations.
- Comparing Pax8 subscription seats with assigned Microsoft 365 licenses.
- Finding machines in Automate without a SentinelOne agent.
- Combining information from multiple connected platforms for an organization review.
The exact data available is defined by each integration’s guide and by the administrator’s grants. Vendor names identify systems read by the integration and do not indicate a partnership or endorsement.
Limitations and notes
The service cannot currently make changes in connected platforms. Availability also depends on which integrations the company has connected and what each user is allowed to access. Datto RMM, Hudu, and Trend Vision One are not available yet according to the supplied material.
OAuth is not the only authentication option: Cursor needs a key, and Claude Code may use either a key or OAuth. Client setup differs, so clients not covered by the provider’s guides should use their own process for adding a remote MCP server. Disconnecting a client from the MSPStuff “Connect your AI” page ends that client’s access.
