What Solana MCP by Vybe does

Solana MCP by Vybe gives MCP-compatible AI clients access to indexed Solana data through Vybe API endpoints. Its tools cover token metadata and market metrics, Pyth oracle products and prices, DEX markets and trades, wallet balances and activity, transfer analysis, and trader performance.

The server is suited to agents that need to answer questions about Solana assets or wallets without maintaining their own indexing pipeline. It can retrieve token prices, volume, liquidity, market capitalization, holder counts, historical candles, transfers, top holders, trader activity, and realized or unrealized PnL. Wallet-focused tools cover balances, balance history, DeFi positions, PnL, counterparties, transfer volume, empty accounts, dust accounts, and token-account history.

How it works

Clients connect to the remote streamable HTTP endpoint:

Each MCP tool maps to a Vybe Solana API route and returns that endpoint’s response. Most operations are read-only GET requests. Batch wallet tools use POST requests with wallet lists in their request bodies, while swap construction uses a POST request to create a transaction payload.

The server can also return a swap quote with expected output, price impact, slippage bounds, and route information. build-swap creates an unsigned transaction for a direct swap; it does not sign, submit, or broadcast the transaction and does not accept a private key.

Setup and configuration

Use the remote URL directly in clients that support HTTP MCP servers. A typical configuration is:

Claude Desktop can connect through mcp-remote with npx, using the same endpoint. Claude.ai supports the endpoint as a custom connector, and the repository includes plugin metadata for Claude Code and Cowork. Authenticate with OAuth when the client requests it; API keys should not be committed to client configuration.

Tools and capabilities

• Query Pyth price feeds, current prices, historical snapshots, OHLC data, and product metadata.
• List and inspect Solana markets, supported DEXs, labeled programs, trades, and market candles.
• Retrieve SPL and Token-2022 token details, candles, liquidity, holder history, top holders, transfers, and trade-volume history.
• Analyze trader activity, top token PnL traders, wallet leaderboards, counterparties, wallet PnL, and transfer volume.
• Read single-wallet or multi-wallet balances, portfolio history, token accounts, DeFi positions, empty accounts, and dust accounts.
• Request swap quotes and build unsigned swaps for supported DEX routes, including Pump.fun and Raydium.

Reference tools also expose instruction names, labeled accounts, supported DEX metadata, x402 access guidance, and wallet utility operations such as closing token accounts or withdrawing MEV-related balances.

Limitations and notes

The endpoint is remote, so client connectivity and the server’s availability affect tool use. The swap builder only prepares an unsigned transaction. Signing, submission, and broadcasting remain outside the server, and private keys are not supplied to it. Batch wallet operations read the requested wallets and do not create, modify, or delete account data.
