Install not yet sandbox-tested— the server itself is confirmed live (we called its tools/list endpoint). The stdio install command is a separate, ongoing check.

Overview

Savvly/savvly-mcp exposes Savvly product information, retirement projections, eligibility checks, comparisons, and searchable Q&A through MCP. It is available as a hosted streamable-HTTP endpoint or through local package and container runtimes. Use it for Savvly-related retirement planning workflows, including lump-sum, monthly-contribution, and full trajectory scenarios. Projection tools can emit editable MCP Apps chart widgets on compatible hosts, while other clients receive the results as text.

How Savvly MCP works

What Savvly/savvly-mcp does

Savvly/savvly-mcp gives MCP clients access to current information about the Savvly Longevity Benefit Fund, an SEC-registered product built around the Savvly 80+ fund. The product invests pooled contributions in a low-cost S&P 500 ETF and provides milestone cash payouts at ages 80, 85, 90, and 95.

The server supports both factual product research and illustrative retirement planning. Agents can retrieve product details, compare Savvly with other retirement products, check eligibility, search FAQs, and query audience-specific Q&A content. Projection tools cover a lump-sum investment, recurring monthly contributions, and a broader retirement path with and without a Savvly allocation.

How it works

MCP clients call tools exposed by either the hosted endpoint or a local server process. Product, comparison, eligibility, and content tools return information from Savvly’s current records and include primary-source references such as SEC filings.

The projection tools return milestone values, cumulative comparisons with a market-only scenario, and metadata containing disclaimers and field explanations. The monthly projection can account for annual contribution increases and an optional early-withdrawal age. Contributions must end by age 80. The full retirement simulation produces a year-by-year timeline between the planning ages and includes measures such as a gap score and possible higher monthly paycheck.

Projection responses can also include MCP Apps chart widgets. Hosts that support these widgets can render editable projections inline; clients without that capability receive the textual response instead.

Setup and configuration

For stdio clients, configure the command and arguments for the selected runtime. Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Windsurf can use the stdio configuration shown by the project. Hosts supporting remote MCP can connect directly to the hosted URL.

The server is public and unauthenticated, so it requires no account or credentials. The local npm process sends no analytics. The hosted endpoint records anonymous tool-use analytics and non-identifying numeric scenario inputs through AgentCat; text is processed to redact email, phone, SSN, and payment-card patterns.

Tools and capabilities

  • Retrieve complete Savvly product information, including expenses, eligibility, payouts, and how the product works.
  • Compare Savvly with annuities, target-date funds, managed-payout funds, or another supported retirement product type.
  • Check eligibility using age, US residency, and distribution channel. The maximum enrollment age is 75, with no minimum age stated by the eligibility rules.
  • Retrieve factual FAQs or search audience-tagged content for employees, advisors, brokers, employers, and general users.
  • Model lump-sum or monthly-contribution scenarios at milestone ages 80, 85, 90, and 95.
  • Compare a retirement trajectory with and without a Savvly allocation across a planning horizon.

Limitations and notes

Projection figures are illustrative outputs and include server-provided ranges, metadata, and regulatory disclosures. When presenting projection results, the tool response requires the supplied disclosure text to be shown verbatim with its linked URL. The projection chart widget is the canonical visualization when a host renders it; clients should not recreate a duplicate of that chart.

The hosted and local delivery modes differ in analytics behavior. The hosted endpoint records anonymous usage data, while the local stdio package does not. The project is licensed under Apache-2.0.
