What the Polish Public Tenders MCP server does

The Polish Public Tenders MCP server gives AI clients access to public procurement information from Poland’s national BZP system and the EU TED notice system. It is intended for research into open and awarded tenders, participating companies, public buyers, contractors and selected funding records.

How it works

The Polish Public Tenders MCP server is delivered remotely over Streamable HTTP at https://compabase.com/api/mcp/tenders. Clients send MCP tool requests to that endpoint rather than running a local process from the repository. The service is read-only, so its tools retrieve procurement and company information without changing source records.

Authentication can use a Compabase account through OAuth when the client supports it. Another option is a Compabase MCP key, supplied as an Authorization: Bearer mcpk_... header or as an apiKey URL parameter. Queries are counted against the user’s Compabase plan.

Setup and configuration

For Claude Desktop, add the endpoint as a custom connector under Settings, Connectors and Add custom connector. Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf can use an mcp.json entry like this:

Gemini CLI can install the repository as an extension with gemini extensions install https://github.com/ContentWriterco/Polish-Public-Tenders-MCP; it requests a Compabase MCP key during installation. A key can be created from the Compabase integrations page. The endpoint can also be added in ChatGPT Developer mode, although that client is not represented in the compatible-client slug list for this directory.

Tools and capabilities

• search_tenders searches open or awarded BZP and TED notices using industry or CPV division, region, city, kind and value.
• get_company_public_tenders retrieves BZP contracts won by, and notices published by, a company.
• get_company_eu_tenders checks EU-threshold TED contracts and notices associated with a company.
• get_company_eu_funds finds EU funds, while get_company_public_aid covers state aid and get_company_eu_grants covers European Commission grants.
• search_companies and get_company help identify buyers and contractors using information such as KRS, NIP and financial data.

Limitations and notes

The Polish Public Tenders MCP server is read-only and requires access to the hosted Compabase endpoint. OAuth depends on client support; otherwise, an MCP key is needed. Use of the tools consumes queries from the relevant Compabase plan.
