The PayRam MCP server gives AI agents an MCP interface for deploying, integrating, checking, and administering a self-hosted PayRam crypto-payment gateway. PayRam itself supports native payments across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, and Tron, including BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, and TRX. Its Smart Bridge rails also accept payments through Solana, Bitcoin, Tron USDT, and BNB Chain, settling as USDC on Base.
The server is intended for workflows where a merchant owns and runs the payment gateway. Agents can plan an installation, generate integration guidance, inspect a public deployment, diagnose errors, and produce administrative or API operation instructions. Payment integrations can use signed webhooks with the X-Payram-Signature header and HMAC-SHA256 verification against the raw request body and project API key.
Connect an MCP client to the hosted endpoint at https://mcp.payram.com/mcp; the README states that no API key is needed merely to connect. An agent can begin with payram_setup_plan, which orders the deployment steps and identifies actions requiring a person, such as handling a cold wallet, providing mainnet gas, or changing root-only settings.
Installation takes place on a VPS through an interactive terminal. The documented installer accepts --testnet or --mainnet, and the README advises passing one explicitly because the installer defaults to mainnet. After installation, a person must claim the root account and set the public Site URL. The agent can then call payram_doctor against that public URL without credentials.
The hosted PayRam MCP server does not retain merchant credentials. For day-two operations, payram_ops_playbook supplies API recipes that the agent runs against the merchant's PayRam API using credentials on the agent's machine. Live payment searches, payment links, node synchronization, worker restarts, and assess_payram_project are available when the MCP server runs locally.
A minimal MCP configuration for the hosted service is:
The documented installation command is:
Use --mainnet for a mainnet deployment, and run the command in an interactive terminal rather than piping the installer into bash. The README also documents 19 Agent Skills in the repository, installable individually through npx skills add, including setup, authentication, analytics, crypto payments, checkout, and payment integration skills.
The catalog includes:
payram_setup_plan for an ordered, personalized installation plan.payram_doctor for a credential-free public-server check.payram_troubleshoot for mapping reported problems or errors to causes, confirmation steps, fixes, and follow-up tools.payram_runbook for site URL, domain, SSL, firewall, upgrades, backups, chains, Smart Bridge, Shopify, and WooCommerce administration.payram_ops_playbook for API recipes such as daily checks, payment options, node synchronization, unswept-funds checks, and payment-link creation.Additional material covers codebase assessment, starter applications, language-specific snippets, inline documentation, and integration guidance. The PayRam MCP server can therefore support both initial deployment and ongoing gateway operations, but human hand-offs remain part of workflows involving privileged access or wallet and network configuration.
