What ncosic/logimu-shopping-mcp MCP server does
ncosic/logimu-shopping-mcp MCP server gives AI clients access to Logimu's shopping data warehouse and hosted live-fetch tools. The data covers Amazon marketplaces in the US, UK, DE, CA, AU, FR, IT, ES, JP, MX, and BR, plus Walmart US. Records can include prices, stock status, ratings, sellers, buy-box information, product ranks, and observation timestamps.
The service fits the E-Commerce category when an agent needs more than general product descriptions. It can find products using constraints, assess a known item, inspect seller offers, or study brands and categories. Logimu states that the results are observed data rather than a direct live retailer feed unless a tool specifically performs a live fetch.
How it works
The hosted MCP endpoint is available at https://api.logimu.com/mcp and uses Streamable HTTP. Clients send tool requests to that endpoint, while Logimu returns warehouse records or performs an on-demand fetch depending on the selected tool and account. Each returned record includes an observed_at timestamp.
The free, no-signup lane covers shopping, product, and search, with a limit of 30 queries per day. These tools use refreshed warehouse data. Paid API-key access adds live modes and additional tools, with usage measured in credits. Empty or failed requests are not billed according to the README.
Setup and configuration
Add the hosted URL as a remote MCP server in a compatible client. Claude users can add it as a custom connector; Claude Code can register it with:
claude mcp add --transport http logimu https://api.logimu.com/mcp
Claude Code can authenticate interactively when a paid tool requests access or pass an API key using an authorization header. Other clients named in the README, including Cursor and VS Code, can add the same URL as a remote Streamable HTTP server.
The repository does not contain the production service. It includes an introspection-only logimu-mcp-stub that can be installed with pip install .. Running the stub supports initialization and tool discovery, while tool calls point to the hosted endpoint rather than executing shopping operations locally. No environment variables are specified as required for the hosted server or stub.
Tools and capabilities
The core tools are:
shopping: Returns ranked, grouped product shortlists with prices, ratings, stock, timestamps, and brand facets.
product: Examines a specific ASIN or item, including its current snapshot, offer information, brand statistics, and 30-day price or stock changes.
search: Produces structured product lists using filters such as price, rating, reviews, BSR, and FBA status, with up to 25 free-lane rows.
serp: Fetches live Amazon search-result pages, including organic, sponsored, video, refinement, and pagination sections.
bestsellers: Retrieves Amazon category trees and ranked bestseller products, with results cached for up to 30 minutes.
offers: Fetches seller, price, shipping, condition, fulfillment, Prime, delivery, and buy-box details for an item.
seller, brand, and category: Provide paid marketplace profiles and observed intelligence about sellers, brands, and category competition.
market_lists: Lists marketplace trends such as brands gaining or losing sellers and ranked categories.
keywords: Returns Amazon autocomplete suggestions and related observation data across marketplaces.
ncosic/logimu-shopping-mcp MCP server does not claim affiliate or seller relationships with returned retailers or products. Keyword positions are observations within suggestion lists, not search-volume figures.
Limitations and notes
Warehouse results are timestamped observations, so they may not equal the current retailer page. Live tools require paid access and credits, and several paid tools only appear in tools/list for keys on an eligible plan. The free allowance is limited to 30 daily queries. Amazon and Walmart coverage is specific to the marketplaces listed above; the README does not claim broader retailer coverage.
The repository's local stub is not a self-contained shopping backend. It is intended for catalog inspection and directs calls to the hosted service. ncosic/logimu-shopping-mcp MCP server also requires the client to support remote Streamable HTTP when using the hosted endpoint.
