What LogoLab MCP server does
LogoLab MCP server supports a complete local workflow for preparing logos and app icons. It can preview an image in contexts such as browser tabs, navigation bars, app splash screens, store listings, social avatars, and light-or-dark size matrices. The workflow also includes background cleanup, vectorization, SVG editing, and packaged icon export.
The input may be a raster image, an existing SVG, a generated icon sheet, or a blank artboard. A sheet can be split into individual icons, with captions used as filenames when available. The resulting assets can be downloaded as SVGs, PNGs, or a ZIP containing web and app icon files.
How it works
Processing takes place in the browser. Background removal includes corner flooding, connected-region selection, color removal, manual erase and restore brushes, and an optional segmentation model. Cleanup controls include tolerance, edge softness, defringing, undo and redo, and a light or dark transparency checkerboard.
The vectorizer analyzes image regions and creates clean curves. It can preserve gradients, trace one-color artwork as a monochrome shape, or represent line art as editable strokes. Auto, Color, and Mono modes provide different tracing approaches. Optional upscaling can enlarge small raster inputs before tracing; the super-resolution model is loaded only when enabled.
Tools and capabilities
- Preview logos against device screenshots, browser interfaces, app screens, avatars, and custom backgrounds.
- Add a colored backplate, change tint, invert a monochrome mark, and inspect a live favicon.
- Remove backgrounds automatically or manually, then send the transparent result into later stages.
- Trace raster artwork into editable SVG paths with smoothing, despeckling, fidelity, region markers, and background-removal controls.
- Compare the traced result with the source through split, overlay, original, traced, and difference views, including a ΔE readout.
- Edit SVGs with move, node, pen, shape, layer, snapping, grid, fill, stroke, alignment, and path-operation tools.
- Export favicon, Apple touch, Android, Chrome, maskable, and Windows tile assets with a manifest and HTML head snippet.
- Split icon sheets using detected boxes, an even grid, or manually drawn regions, then export named SVGs, PNGs, or both.
Limitations and notes
The supplied material describes a browser application rather than a documented remote service. It does not specify an MCP transport, command-line installer, callable MCP tool schema, authentication method, environment variables, or client integrations. No uploads, backend, or sign-up are required for the browser workflow.
Optional AI features download models in the browser. The background-removal model is cached after its first use, and the caption-recognition engine is fetched when a sheet contains captions. The optional raster upscaler is disabled by default, applies only to small raster images, and is not used for SVGs or sufficiently large rasters.
