What kalicart-global does
The kalicart-global MCP server provides a shared catalog view across independent WooCommerce stores that have installed KaliCart Bridge and opted into indexing. It does not scrape individual storefronts during every request or complete purchases. Instead, agents query a federated index and receive product offers linked to the merchant's own storefront.
The service is public and keyless. Its MCP endpoint is available at https://global.kalicart.com/mcp-public, with https://dashboard.kalicart.com/mcp-public documented as a compatible alias. All five public tools are read-only and idempotent.
Search and product responses identify the merchant, include storefront URLs, and expose merchant-authoritative prices where available. The service itself never sells products, processes checkout, or accepts payment.
How it works
A practical workflow starts with list_categories or list_merchants to inspect the available catalog, continues with global_search, and uses get_product for shortlisted offers. The final step is a handoff to the merchant storefront for purchase and any live checkout checks.
global_search accepts free text through q, canonical category leaves through leaf, and facets such as brand, gender, color, price range, and stock. At least one of q or leaf is required. Text matching uses the catalog's native merchant text; the service does not translate queries. Canonical leaves and facet filters are preferable when language-neutral retrieval matters.
Search and standard product details are indexed snapshots, identified with fetch-time provenance. Price and stock should therefore be verified through the merchant's documented Bridge handoff before being treated as final. Price filters remain in each merchant's currency, with no foreign-exchange conversion.
Tools and capabilities
global_search finds offers across the federated index and returns prices, UCP availability_status, category leaves, and storefront links.get_product retrieves full details for a p2209_id returned by search, including attributes, variants, price, availability, and the direct store URL.lookup_merchant checks whether a domain exposes an ARC-compliant KaliCart Bridge catalog. It reports bridge version, discovery URL, and federated-indexing consent flags. A miss returns probe: "not_scheduled" rather than scheduling a background probe.list_merchants reports participating domains, storefront URLs, and product counts.list_categories returns canonical category leaves and counts, with optional parent filtering.
The kalicart-global MCP server also documents a separate UCP Catalog interface at https://global.kalicart.com/ucp/mcp. That interface provides search_catalog, lookup_catalog, and get_product; requests must include meta["ucp-agent"].profile. UCP responses use stable product and variant identifiers and ISO 4217 minor-unit prices.

No API key, account, or local service is required. The repository contains the public interface documentation, issue tracking, and security contact; the hosted server and catalog data are not published as repository source. The repository contents are covered by MIT, while the hosted service and catalog data are governed by its Terms of Use.
Limitations and notes
The kalicart-global MCP server has no pagination for its tools. Use limit, with a maximum of 25 offers or 50 merchants. list_categories returns up to 100 leaves without a parent; when more exist, its response supplies truncation information and a way to continue.
Coverage is limited to merchants that installed KaliCart Bridge and opted into federated indexing. Merchant authorization for a named external provider is separate from indexing consent, and lookup_merchant does not expose that per-provider authorization state.
The service is discovery and lookup infrastructure, not a transaction system. Agents must direct shoppers to the merchant's store, where checkout, payment, and the merchant's own legal or age checks occur.
