What UGC Fans Studio MCP server does
UGC Fans Studio MCP server exposes UGC Fans Studio through a remote MCP connection for creating and finishing short marketing videos. It can capture a website and turn it into a launch film in landscape, vertical or square formats. It can also use selected page sections, replace text shown in the film and export the result as a video.
For footage already stored in a UGC Fans library, the service can trim clips, add captions, change the format, apply branding and transcribe content. Finished files can be shared by link. The repository supplies three assistant skills: launch-film, finish-clip and credits.
How it works
The repository contains Markdown and JSON configuration rather than an executable local application. It defines one remote server entry and the skills that guide supported assistants in using that server. No scripts, hooks, commands or local servers are included, and installation does not add packages to the machine.
Tool requests travel over HTTPS to https://mcp.ugc.fans/studio. Depending on the requested operation, the assistant sends website addresses, film text, file paths from the UGC Fans library and selected options. UGC Fans then retrieves and captures the websites supplied by the user.
Template catalogue searches are available without an account. Other operations require signing in at ugc.fans using the standard OAuth flow. Credentials are not stored in the plugin's files.
Setup and configuration
UGC Fans Studio MCP server can be added as a remote Streamable HTTP server. Claude Code supports direct MCP registration with the endpoint or installation through the repository's Claude plugin marketplace. Codex uses its MCP add command followed by MCP login. Gemini CLI installs the extension from the GitHub repository. Other MCP clients can use the same remote endpoint if they support Streamable HTTP.
The service endpoint is:
https://mcp.ugc.fans/studio
No environment variables, local API keys or manually managed tokens are specified by the repository. Authentication for account-required operations happens through OAuth. The plugin itself does not run compute locally.
Tools and capabilities
The available assistant guidance is organized into three skills:
launch-film: capture a website and create a launch film, including landscape, vertical and square output options.
finish-clip: edit footage from a UGC Fans library by trimming, captioning, reformatting, branding or transcribing it, then share finished files by link.
credits: access account-related credit information.
The service can also create films from selected page areas, modify the words used in a film and export video files. Template catalogue search does not require sign-in. Work performed by the service uses UGC Fans compute and does not spend credits according to the repository notes; the account tool displays the current balance, while plan and credit details are maintained on the UGC Fans pricing page.
Limitations and notes
This repository is an integration definition and skill package, not a local media-processing runtime. Website capture depends on UGC Fans being able to fetch the URLs provided. Account-required operations cannot be used until the user completes the UGC Fans OAuth sign-in flow. The plugin does not include local scripts, hooks, commands, servers or package installation. Its documented client setup covers Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI directly, with remote Streamable HTTP configuration for other clients.
