TwtAPI MCP Server

Use public Twitter/X data from Cursor, Claude Code, Codex CLI, Grok, or any compatible MCP client. TwtAPI hosts the server, so there is no local runtime to install or maintain.

Quick start

1. Create a free TwtAPI account at twtapi.com.
2. Open the MCP page in the dashboard and generate an sk- MCP key.
3. Pick a client configuration below and replace sk-your-mcp-key.

The recommended transport is Streamable HTTP:

https://mcp.twtapi.com/mcp

Send the MCP key as a bearer token:

Authorization: Bearer sk-your-mcp-key

SSE remains available for clients that do not yet support Streamable HTTP:

https://mcp.twtapi.com/sse?mcp_key=sk-your-mcp-key

The hosted server currently exposes 10 tools for search, user lookup, timelines, followers, tweet detail, and trends. See docs/tools.md for parameters and example prompts.

Security

Do not commit MCP keys to a repository. Prefer environment variables or your client's secret storage. Regenerate the key from the TwtAPI dashboard if it is exposed.

This repository contains public configuration and documentation for the hosted service. The production server implementation is maintained separately.
