A side-by-side look at the TwitterAPIs and Xdataapi: X (Twitter) data MCP servers: transport, auth, tools, quality signals, and the config to install either one in Claude, Cursor, Windsurf or VS Code.
Verdict: choose TwitterAPIs for social media work as a local process; choose Xdataapi: X (Twitter) data for social media over a hosted endpoint. You can also run both side by side in one mcpServers block.
TWITTERAPIS_KEY.twitter_advanced_search, twitter_user_search, twitter_user_info.XDATAAPI_KEY.Rows where the two servers differ are marked.
