What Trillboards DOOH Advertising does

Trillboards DOOH Advertising MCP server exposes Trillboards advertising and partner-management capabilities to MCP-compatible agents. It covers two related workflows: operating a network of screens or other display devices, and discovering or evaluating DOOH inventory for campaigns.

Agents can register a partner, inspect account status, add or update devices, list the device fleet, retrieve an individual device, or soft-delete a device. Device operations also include checking scheduled ads, sending heartbeats, recording individual impressions, and synchronizing batches of up to 100 impressions. Analytics provide account-level summaries, time series, top devices, and grouped breakdowns.

For campaign and inventory work, the server can find screens by venue, geography, radius, or audience profile. It can return live signals such as face count, attention, mood, purchase intent, crowd density, dwell time, and ad receptivity when available. Forecasting uses historical data to estimate audience characteristics for a selected screen, day, and hour.

How it works

The repository documents a streamable HTTP MCP endpoint at https://api.trillboards.com/mcp. MCP clients send structured tool calls to that endpoint. Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Windsurf can use the same URL in their MCP configuration.

The documented lifecycle starts with pricing discovery and partner or agent registration. After authentication, an agent can use free-tier access for inventory and audience queries. When the free tier is exhausted, the API returns HTTP 402 with pricing and billing setup information. Billing tools can report usage and status, attach a Stripe payment method, and purchase credits.

Webhook tools let an agent create, list, update, test, and delete subscriptions, then inspect delivery history. Supported event examples include device status changes, recorded impressions, campaign allocation, payouts, and programmatic ad playback events.

Setup and configuration

Install the example project with npm install. The repository shows a demo command that does not require an API key and a full flow using TRILLBOARDS_API_KEY. API keys should be stored securely. Registration can also be performed through the register_partner tool or the documented partner registration endpoint.

For Smithery installation, the documented command is npx @smithery/cli install trillboards/dooh-advertising. Direct MCP configuration uses the endpoint URL rather than a local command. The project also includes a REST-based example for environments that do not use MCP.

Audience values are real-time estimates from edge AI sensors and may be unavailable for some screens. Live audience data is described as refreshing every 10 seconds, while forecasts depend on historical samples and report a confidence value. Reward retrieval is metered, limited to a maximum 31-day date range, and uses cursor-based polling.

The documented free tiers are 10,000 Data API calls and 50,000 Proof-of-Play proofs per month. Further use is metered and may require billing. Some creative operations require an existing funded placement, an authenticated native buyer, expected policy versions, or separate brand-review and moderation steps.
