What SpeedContent Social does
SpeedContent Social MCP server gives an AI client tools for creating and reviewing social media copy through the SpeedContent Social Post API. It supports seven platforms: Facebook, Instagram, X through the twitter platform value, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and TikTok. Generated posts can follow platform-specific length and emoji defaults, use a selected tone and language, include brand guidance, and optionally receive an illustration.
The service also handles text that was written elsewhere. score_text sends existing copy to an external AI detector and returns a score from 0 to 65. A score above 30 is likely to be flagged, while 0 reads as human according to the tool's scale. humanize_text rewrites existing copy and can preserve exact lines and brand terms. This makes SpeedContent Social MCP server relevant both for drafting and for checking copy before publication.
How it works
The normal deployment is a remote MCP endpoint at https://speedcontent.online/mcp. An MCP client sends requests with an API key in the X-API-Key header; Authorization: Bearer is also supported for clients that use that authentication form. Generation is asynchronous: generate_social_post returns a job ID immediately, and check_social_job retrieves the completed posts or reports current progress. Generation commonly takes 20β90 seconds.
A generation request requires a topic and platform. Optional parameters control tone, language, variation count, word count, image generation, AI detection, humanization, emoji behavior, preserved text, and brand voice. Automatic humanization first scores the draft and only rewrites it when the result would likely be flagged. list_social_platforms reports supported platforms, default lengths, and emoji policies without making a network call.
Setup and configuration
Create an API key through the SpeedContent API Keys page, then configure the remote endpoint in the MCP client. The repository documents configurations for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other clients using a URL plus the X-API-Key header. Free credits are provided at signup according to the supplied documentation.
Clients that only support subprocess transport can use the repository's standalone stdio implementation. Build it with npm install && npm run build, then start node dist/index.js with SPEEDCONTENT_API_KEY set. The stdio build is not published to npm and is intended as a fallback; the hosted HTTP service is the usual setup.
Tools and capabilities
- Generate up to 10 variations in one request.
- Select professional, casual, friendly, humorous, inspirational, or educational tone.
- Set platform-specific word counts from 10 to 500 words.
- Request optional images and automatic AI-detection scoring.
- Preserve exact lines, brand names, domains, and supplied brand terms during humanization.
- Poll asynchronous jobs and inspect platform defaults at no cost.
Limitations and notes
Generation, scoring, humanization, and images consume credits. Generation costs 20 base credits per post up to 200 words, with additional word, image, and detection charges; quantity multiplies the cost. score_text costs 8 credits per call, while humanization costs 1 credit per 20 words and adds 8 credits when score_after is requested. Job checks and platform listings are free.
Automatic AI detection is applied to generated posts of 150 words or more, because shorter posts score unreliably. A failed generation is refunded in full. The detector score is an external measurement, not a guarantee about publication or moderation outcomes. SpeedContent Social MCP server requires an API key for the hosted API, and the API key should be supplied through the client's header configuration or the stdio process environment.
The server belongs to the Social Media category and is intended for social post workflows rather than general-purpose text generation.
