The server covers content ideation as well as production. get_trending_topics finds topics by niche and source, with sources including Hacker News, Reddit, Google Trends, and Product Hunt. brainstorm_titles supports multi-turn title development. For ongoing publishing workflows, the server can inspect and configure auto-pilot, start an immediate run, and report usage or connected-platform status.

How it works

The shensi8312/blogburst-mcp-server MCP server communicates with the BlogBurst API from an MCP client. A client sends a tool request, BlogBurst performs the generation or account action, and the result is returned to the conversation. The included setup uses npx to run the package without a separate application command.

Content generation supports several output paths. A topic can become a full blog post or platform-specific content. A URL or text input can be repurposed into social posts. The platform list includes Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Bluesky, Threads, Telegram, Discord, TikTok, and YouTube, although publishing availability differs by platform.

Auto-pilot is intended for scheduled posting. Its configuration includes whether it is enabled, posting frequency, and selected platforms. run_auto_pilot_now provides a way to trigger a run immediately rather than waiting for the configured schedule.

Setup and configuration

The shensi8312/blogburst-mcp-server MCP server requires a BlogBurst account and API key. The key is obtained from the BlogBurst dashboard under API Keys. Configure the server in an MCP client using the npx -y blogburst-mcp-server command and set BLOGBURST_API_KEY in the server’s environment.

Before using auto-publishing, connect the desired accounts in BlogBurst under Connections. The API key and connected account setup are separate requirements.

Limitations and notes

The free plan provides 50 generations per month; higher limits require a paid BlogBurst plan. Publishing depends on connected accounts and the destination’s supported status. The project is licensed under MIT.
