What Rapidly MCP server does

Rapidly MCP server connects an AI agent to Rapidly so the agent can turn an idea into a structured pretotyping plan. It supports ideas supplied directly by a user and ideas generated from a company name and website. The resulting work is saved with the idea in the Rapidly team, allowing the team to review it later and decide whether to fund, change, stop, or test again.

The core workflow creates a Lean Canvas, identifies the riskiest assumption, converts that assumption into a measurable hypothesis, and researches a proposed pass threshold. It then saves three to five experiment options, recommends a first test, and returns a build prompt for the recommended test asset. The example in the documentation is a hypothetical bookshop; its proposed pass mark was not a measured customer result.

How it works

An agent can ask Rapidly to generate one or more ideas for a company using a website URL, or provide an existing idea with details about the customer, problem, proposed change, sources, and constraints. For a complete run, the agent uses test_idea. Rapidly works through the method one saved stage at a time, and the agent should continue the same run while work remains in progress.

A project link or project ID should be retained in case the conversation stops. It can be supplied when asking the agent to continue. Users do not need to select stages, decide when to save, or manage a retry key. The final output can include source material, a Lean Canvas, a hypothesis and decision rule, experiment options with GO and NO-GO rules, and a build prompt. The agent can then build the test asset and present it to real customers.

Setup and configuration

Rapidly can be connected through OAuth when the agent supports it. Existing users select their Rapidly team and approve access. New users can register through rapidly.co/rapidly-mcp, which creates an account and team and displays a personal token once.

The remote MCP endpoint is https://www.rapidly.co/mcp. Agents that do not support OAuth should follow Rapidly's agent setup instructions so the personal token is not placed in chat or project files. The README provides setup paths for Codex CLI, Claude Code, Claude, and ChatGPT, with exact steps varying by agent.

Tools and capabilities

Rapidly MCP server provides the documented test_idea workflow along with seven standard tools and three advanced method tools. The available workflow supports:

Limitations and notes

A trial includes five new ideas. Paid plans include ten ideas per paid seat per calendar month. Completing a Canvas, hypothesis, and experiments for one idea still counts as one idea.

Generated facts, cited sources, and proposed targets require human review. The service is intended to help design tests; it does not claim that proposed experiments have produced customer results. Users should also remove tokens and customer data from feedback, logs, and screenshots.
