What Philippines SEC Company Registry MCP server does
The Philippines SEC Company Registry MCP server gives an AI assistant access to roughly 356,000 company records from the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission through The Company Atlas. The dataset covers stock and non-stock corporations, foreign corporations, and partnerships.
It supports discovery by registered-name substring, entity type, principal-office location, and registration-year range. A separate lookup retrieves a fuller record when you already have an SEC registration number. Returned profile data can include former names, a PSGC area code for the principal office, and the authorized representative, email address, and telephone number filed with the SEC.
How it works
Clients connect to the remote MCP endpoint at https://thecompanyatlas.com/mcp/philippines. Communication uses Streamable HTTP, and authentication uses Google OAuth. The repository acts as connection documentation; it does not run an independent local service.
The search operation requires at least one filter. Multiple filters are combined with AND logic, so a name fragment, entity type, address fragment, or year range can narrow the result set together. Results include data, total count, page, and limit fields. Pages can contain up to 50 records, with 20 used by default.
Setup and configuration
Add the endpoint as a custom MCP connector in a compatible client and complete the Google sign-in prompt. In Claude, open the custom connector settings, create a connector, paste the endpoint URL, and save it. The README also identifies Cursor as a supported connection option. No local package installation or environment variable is documented.
Tools and capabilities
The Philippines SEC Company Registry MCP server exposes two tools:
Philippines_search_companies: searches by registered-name text, one of the supported entity types, a principal-office address fragment, and/or registration-year bounds. Name queries must be 3–120 characters. Pagination is available through page and limit.
Philippines_get_company: retrieves a full profile from an SEC number. It accepts old and new number formats, ignores punctuation, and ignores a leading PH. An unknown number returns null.
Search results expose the issued SEC number as id2. The normalized id adds PH and removes punctuation. Example uses include finding foreign stock corporations in Taguig, locating non-stock corporations in Cebu City registered from 2023 onward, and checking the representative associated with a known SEC number.
Limitations and notes
The registry records the registration year but does not record dissolution or revocation status. Search filters are restrictive rather than alternative-based because they are combined with AND logic. The detailed lookup depends on a valid SEC registration number and returns no profile for an unknown number. Access requires a client that supports MCP over the documented remote connection and Google OAuth authentication.
