What Motozmo Motorcycle Repair Guides MCP server does
Motozmo Motorcycle Repair Guides MCP server connects MCP-compatible AI assistants to motorcycle repair guides and gear reviews published on motozmo.com. It provides structured access to the site's article content instead of requiring an assistant to browse or manually process the website.
The server fits the Search & Data Extraction category. It is useful when an agent needs to locate relevant motorcycle maintenance information, retrieve a specific guide, inspect recently published posts, or browse the site's available topics.
How it works
Article records are obtained from motozmo.com's live WordPress REST API at /wp-json/wp/v2/posts. The content is not packaged into the server source. Results are cached for six hours, so the server can reuse recently fetched data while still discovering new articles after the cache expires.
This design means publishing a new Motozmo article does not require a code update, redeployment, or manual re-indexing. The server fetches the updated article data during a later refresh. Search and retrieval therefore depend on the live site's API being available.
Setup and configuration
For local use, install the Node.js dependencies and start the server:
npm install
node server.js
A Claude Desktop configuration can launch the server over stdio by pointing the command to node and passing the absolute path to server.js as its argument. The repository also identifies Cursor as an MCP-compatible assistant.
For remote hosting, start Streamable HTTP mode with:
node server.js --http --port 3000
In this mode, the server provides a POST /mcp endpoint and a GET /health endpoint. It can run as a persistent Node.js 18+ service on platforms such as Render, Railway, Fly.io, or a VPS/shared host. The README notes that Cloudflare Workers require an adapter. The package can also be published to npm for directory references using npx -y motozmo-mcp.
Tools and capabilities
Motozmo Motorcycle Repair Guides MCP server exposes four tools:
search_guides searches the available Motozmo article collection.
get_guide retrieves an individual guide.
list_latest lists recent articles.
list_topics lists available content topics.
Together, these tools support a typical discovery flow: identify a topic, search matching guides, inspect recent content, and retrieve a selected article for the assistant's response.
Limitations and notes
The repository's test command boots the server over stdio, lists its tools, and calls each tool against the live site. Because article data comes from the WordPress REST API, live-site availability affects tool results. The six-hour cache also means content published very recently may not appear until the next refresh. The provided material does not specify authentication, configurable environment variables, or a license.
