One-click editor setup isn’t available for this listing yet — we don’t have a confirmed install command, and we’d rather show nothing than point your editor at the wrong package or host. Follow the project’s own setup instructions, linked above.

The makeev/alphai-mcp MCP server exposes AlphaAI’s financial-news platform to MCP-compatible clients. It returns AI-enriched stories with per-ticker analysis, a news category, and a relevance score from 1 to 10. Coverage includes US stocks, ETFs, crypto, foreign listings, insider activity, SEC-related earnings information, macroeconomic releases, central-bank activity, rates, foreign exchange, and commodities.
The service is hosted by AlphaAI at https://mcp.alphai.io/mcp; the repository contains the public project home and MCP registry manifest rather than a self-hostable application. It is suitable for agents that need to find, filter, compare, or summarize market news inside an analysis workflow.
The makeev/alphai-mcp MCP server uses Streamable HTTP for MCP communication. A compatible client connects to the hosted endpoint and discovers the available tools. OAuth 2.1 with Dynamic Client Registration and PKCE provides authentication; supported clients can discover the authorization metadata automatically.
Most operations are read-only. The alert subscription tools can create, list, or remove subscriptions, but those writes are limited to the authenticated caller’s own ticker alerts. Tool schemas, parameters, defaults, and annotations are advertised by the server.
No local package installation or self-hosting is required. Add https://mcp.alphai.io/mcp as an HTTP MCP server in a compatible client, then complete the browser-based OAuth login. Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and Cline are named as compatible clients in the project documentation. JSON-configured clients use an HTTP server entry with the endpoint as its URL.
The makeev/alphai-mcp MCP server does not require a manually entered API key. The free plan costs nothing and permits 100 calls per day, with a 20-call-per-minute burst limit. Basic and Pro plans increase the daily and burst limits and enable alert tools; Pro also supports larger page sizes.
Available capabilities include:
The makeev/alphai-mcp MCP server does not provide full article bodies. Responses contain titles, summaries, ticker analysis, categories, and relevance scores instead, so it is not a replacement for retrieving copyrighted source text. Its output summarizes reporting and is explicitly not investment advice or a buy/sell recommendation.
Access requires OAuth when calling tools, even though tool discovery is open. The free plan has lower limits and does not include alert tools. The repository describes the service as hosted, so deploying the repository locally is not the intended operating model.
