Longwire — downloads

Longwire is a whole-home media server from Future Maven: free over-the-air television recorded from an HDHomeRun tuner, radio through an RTL-SDR dongle, your own films, music and photos on every screen in the house, recordings published to every TV over DLNA, guests on their phones from a QR code. It runs as a service on a Windows PC, a Linux box or a Raspberry Pi and is used from a browser.

This repository holds the releases only. Take the newest one from the Releases page:

You have	Take
Windows 10 or 11	`Longwire-Setup-<version>.exe` — the installer (service, firewall rule, Start menu). `Longwire-Portable.zip` runs from a folder without installing.
Debian, Ubuntu, Mint, Zorin, Raspberry Pi OS	`longwire_<version>_amd64.deb`, or `_arm64.deb` on a Raspberry Pi or ARM box: `sudo apt install ./longwire_<version>_amd64.deb`
Any other Linux with systemd	`curl -fsSL https://github.com/longwiremedia/releases/releases/latest/download/install.sh \| sudo bash`, or the `Longwire-linux-*.tar.xz` by hand
Docker	`docker run -d --name longwire -p 8420:8420 -v longwire-data:/data ghcr.io/trorie/longwire`

Then open http://<that machine>:8420 from any device on your network. The user guide is inside the app at /help.

The app checks this page once a day and shows a badge when a newer version is here; nothing downloads or installs by itself.
