What Jobs Data does
The Jobs Data MCP server gives an AI client access to four Apify-based job data scrapers through one remote MCP endpoint. The included sources are remote job boards, LinkedIn, company applicant-tracking-system pages, and Upwork. This setup groups related scrapers into a focused tool set rather than exposing the entire Apify Store.
The Jobs Data MCP server is intended for clients that need to find or collect listings from several employment sources. It does not provide a local scraping runtime; Apify hosts and runs the selected scrapers on the user's account.
How it works
The connection uses Streamable HTTP. The job tool set is selected by adding the four actor names to the Apify MCP URL:
https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=benthepythondev/remote-jobs-aggregator,benthepythondev/linkedin-jobs-scraper,benthepythondev/ats-jobs-aggregator,benthepythondev/upwork-jobs-scraper
When a client connects, Apify handles the scraper execution. The MCP server also supplies four general helpers for each tool set: reading a run, reading its dataset, reading an individual stored record, and stopping a run. These helpers let an agent inspect scraper output and control an in-progress run.
Each scraper charges based on its results. Pricing is published on the corresponding actor page in the Apify Store, and Apify's free plan includes $5 of monthly usage. The Jobs Data MCP server therefore suits workflows that can use Apify billing and dataset-based results.
Setup and configuration
Add the URL as a remote MCP server in an MCP-compatible client. The first connection opens Apify's sign-in flow. Clients that do not support OAuth can authenticate by sending an Apify API token in the HTTP header:
Authorization: Bearer <token>
No environment variables are specified in the provided setup instructions. The README also states that the listed scrapers do not require a login or cookies for the websites they read, but an Apify account is still needed to run the tools.
Tools and capabilities
The Jobs Data MCP server includes these four scraper capabilities:
- Remote job aggregation across six job boards through the remote jobs aggregator.
- LinkedIn job collection with job descriptions and feeds.
- ATS job aggregation covering Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and other supported systems.
- Upwork job search with client details.
In addition, every set includes run inspection, dataset reading, stored-record reading, and run-stopping helpers. The available output and input options depend on the individual Apify actor pages.
Limitations and notes
This listing documents the MCP connection and actor grouping, not a detailed schema for each scraper. Consult the individual Apify actor pages for exact parameters, returned fields, limits, and per-plan pricing. The tools are remote rather than local, so requests depend on access to Apify and the relevant source pages.
The Jobs Data MCP server is one of several tool sets in the repository. Its documented endpoint exposes only the four job-related actors listed above; Reddit, social media, local business, and real estate actors use separate endpoints. Scraper charges apply to the user's Apify account, including usage beyond the free-plan allowance.
