How it works

Connect an MCP-compatible client to the server, then call the discovery tools as needed. get_site_summary is the recommended starting point because it returns a broad map of Heym’s capabilities, important pages, template categories, featured templates, recent posts, playground examples, AI Convert support, and agent-discovery links.

For targeted research, search_site searches the same indexed content used by the website’s search dialog. Results can include page titles, section headings, excerpts, and absolute URLs. find_templates narrows discovery to workflow templates, while list_recent_blog_posts returns recent post metadata. Once a post slug is known, get_blog_post retrieves its Markdown source. get_changelog supports either a specific version lookup or a query for the release that introduced or changed a feature.

Setup and configuration

The repository can be run locally by cloning it, entering the project directory, and executing ./run.sh:

The project identifies Python 3.11 or newer, FastAPI, Vue 3, TypeScript, Bun, and Docker among its runtime or platform technologies. Heym is described as self-hosted and Docker-ready.
