What HasData Google Flights Deals MCP server does
HasData Google Flights Deals MCP server exposes one tool for finding dated flight deals from a natural-language trip description. Provide a query such as a seasonal travel idea or a beach trip, along with a three-letter departure airport code. The service returns structured results with the selected dates, fare and currency, typical price for the route, discount percentage when available, flight duration, trip length, number of stops, operating airline, departure and arrival airports, destination details, and a Google Flights booking URL.
The response also reports how Google interpreted the request. Its search information can include the resolved departure airport, destination date range, price range, and airlines found. If no destination is supplied, Google can choose destinations based on the query. A request with arrivalId set instead searches a specific destination.
How it works
The server is hosted by HasData and uses streamable HTTP. Connect an MCP client to:
https://mcp.hasdata.com/mcp?apis=google_travel_flights_deals
Authentication uses the x-api-key header with a HasData API key. The main tool is hasdata_google_travel_flights_deals_getGoogleFlightsDeals. Its required inputs are q, a free-text trip description, and departureId, an uppercase IATA airport code.
Optional inputs cover one-way or round-trip searches, travel class, exact dates or date windows, preset travel duration, trip length, stop limits, maximum flight duration, maximum price, and included or excluded airlines. includeAirlines and excludeAirlines cannot be used together. Filters require arrivalId; if Google is choosing the destination, remove those filters or specify the destination explicitly.
Each successful tool call costs 15 credits. The published free tier provides 1,000 credits per month, or approximately 66 calls. Comparing two origin airports therefore requires two calls.
Setup and configuration
Create a HasData API key from the HasData dashboard and configure the remote URL and x-api-key header in the MCP client. No container or local Google account is required for the hosted connection. Clients with OAuth support can add the URL as a connector and authenticate without placing the key in a configuration file.
Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, and VS Code are documented with HTTP or streamable-HTTP configurations. For clients that only support stdio, HasData publishes launcher packages named @hasdata/google-flights-deals-mcp on npm and hasdata-google-flights-deals-mcp on PyPI.
Tools and capabilities
The server provides one flight-deals tool:
hasdata_google_travel_flights_deals_getGoogleFlightsDeals: Finds dated deals and returns pricing, typical route price, dates, duration, trip length, stops, airline, airport information, destination data, and a Google Flights booking link.
Seven resources expose fixed-value parameter vocabularies at hasdata://google_travel_flights_deals/<parameter>. Reading these resources does not consume credits and can help clients use accepted values before making a tool call.
Limitations and notes
The search accepts one departure airport per call. Destination discovery and detailed filtering are separate modes: constraints such as maximum price, stop count, travel class, date controls, duration, and airline selection need a specific arrivalId. Invalid combinations produce a 422 response identifying the conflicting parameters.
The service returns booking links rather than completing a purchase. Results depend on the dates, destination interpretation, and flight data returned for the request. The free allowance is limited to about 66 successful calls monthly at the stated credit rate.
