Git vs Ibara
A side-by-side look at the Git and Ibara MCP servers: transport, auth, tools, quality signals, and the config to install either one in Claude, Cursor, Windsurf or VS Code.
I
IbaraOS AutomationLet MCP agents use the desktop, browser and apps on Omarchy computers you own. ibara connects over your Tailscale network, with live viewing and human control handoff. Install the signed native packages first using https://ibara.app/docs/install, then run ibara mcp for stdio MCP. Requires Omarchy 4 and Tailscale; it is not an npm package or public hosted MCP endpoint.52GoodAuth: otherVerdict: choose Git for other tools and integrations work as a local process; choose Ibara for os automation. You can also run both side by side in one mcpServers block.
