What Fixidu MCP server does

Fixidu MCP server connects an MCP-compatible assistant to Fixidu’s public home-services catalog in India. The catalog includes services such as electrical work, plumbing, cleaning, and appliance repair. Responses can include category images, service prices, durations, ratings, inclusions, exclusions, and frequently asked questions, depending on the tool used.

The server is read-only and does not require a Fixidu account or login. It is intended for discovering and comparing catalog entries rather than completing a service order.

How it works

The service is available at https://mcp.fixidu.com/mcp through Streamable HTTP. It is stateless and does not require authentication. An MCP client sends tool requests to the endpoint, and the server reads the current public catalog to return matching categories, services, or details.

Start with the category list when you want to understand the available service groups. Use category browsing to inspect items or nested categories, or run a keyword search across the complete catalog. Once you identify a service, request its detailed price record for the available metadata.

Setup and configuration

Fixidu MCP server can be added using its remote MCP URL. In clients that support custom connectors, add https://mcp.fixidu.com/mcp as an HTTP connector and select no authentication. Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, and VS Code setup instructions are provided by the project.

For clients that need a local bridge, the documented configuration uses npx mcp-remote with the same endpoint. Claude Desktop uses an mcpServers entry with that command, while Codex uses an equivalent entry in ~/.codex/config.toml. VS Code can use an HTTP server entry in mcp.json.

No environment variables, API keys, or Fixidu credentials are required according to the supplied setup information.

Tools and capabilities

The available tools are:

• list_service_categories: Returns Fixidu’s top-level categories and their images.
• browse_service: Lists services or subcategories within a selected category.
• search_services: Searches the full catalog using keywords.
• get_service_price: Retrieves one service’s price and related details, including duration, rating, inclusions, exclusions, and FAQs.
• get_app_download_link: Provides Fixidu’s Android and iOS app links.

These tools support questions such as which services are available, what an AC repair service costs, which services match a phrase such as switch replacement, and what appears under Cleaning.

Limitations and notes

Fixidu MCP server only reads Fixidu’s public catalog. It cannot create bookings, process payments, access accounts, or perform other authenticated actions. Booking requires the Fixidu app, where the user must log in and complete payment.

Catalog information is intended for browsing and may reflect the live public data exposed by Fixidu. The server does not collect personal information or act on a user’s behalf. The project is provided as-is, so assistants should treat returned prices and service details as catalog information rather than confirmation of a completed order.
