FateMCP DayMaster MCP server provides a BaZi astrology reading based on the Day Pillar calculated from a person's Gregorian birth date. In BaZi, the Day Pillar combines a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch. The Day Stem, also called the Day Master, describes core identity and natural tendencies, while the seated Day Branch is used for inner patterns, habits, and relationships.

The reading covers five areas: personality, career, love, wealth, and health. Each area includes detailed content and a short overall assessment. The response also includes a standard disclaimer. The service supports English (en) and Chinese (zh) output.

How it works

The hosted endpoint is available at https://mcp.fatemcp.com/daymaster. An MCP client sends a JSON-RPC tools/call request to that URL and names get_day_master_reading as the tool. The request must include integer year, month, and day values. The optional lang argument selects the response language and defaults to English.

The server computes the Day Pillar automatically, so callers do not need to provide a Gan-Zhi or Day Master name. It uses the Gregorian birth date as input and converts it for the Chinese calendar calculation. Birth time is not an input. For dates close to midnight, the service follows a conventional daily pillar transition around 23:00–00:00.

A minimal request supplies values such as year: 1990, month: 6, and day: 15. The returned structure contains personality, career, love, wealth, and health objects, each with content and overall fields, plus a disclaimer string.

Setup and configuration

FateMCP DayMaster MCP server is hosted remotely, so there is no local package installation, account, API key, or environment variable requirement. Configure an MCP client with the Streamable HTTP URL:

Clients without native Streamable HTTP support can use npx with mcp-remote and the same endpoint. The README gives this option for older Claude Desktop versions. The privacy notes state that only the birth date is used and that data is not stored, logged, or shared.

A disclaimer is included with every response, and the material describes the output as an astrology reading rather than a factual assessment.
