What the Everygen MCP server does
The Everygen MCP server gives MCP-compatible assistants access to multimedia creation and account-management capabilities on everygen-ai.com. It supports image generation from a creative brief and supported references, short-video generation with supported models and owned library references, narration with available preset voices, and music generation. It also supports planning and producing multi-shot video projects through AI Director.
The service can browse assets owned by the connected account and retrieve the status of generation tasks and Director projects. Generated media and project results are returned through standard MCP results. Clients with MCP Apps support may display interactive results; other clients can use the returned media URLs and workspace links.
How it works
The Everygen MCP server is a remote Streamable HTTP service at https://everygen-ai.com/mcp. A compatible client authenticates the user through OAuth 2.1 authorization code flow with S256 PKCE. Users sign in to an Everygen account, approve the requested permissions, and allow the client to manage the resulting tokens. Passwords and fixed bearer tokens should not be entered into client configuration.
Before creating media, call everygen_get_capabilities to see the media types, models, and settings currently available from the service. Generation uses the connected account’s existing Everygen credits. The assistant should prepare a quote containing the proposed request and credit cost, then wait for explicit approval before starting work.
Media and Director operations are asynchronous. Keep the returned task or project ID and poll that same ID for progress. A timeout or pending response does not justify submitting the generation again. Where supported, retry using the original quote.
Setup and configuration
An Everygen account is required. Add the remote endpoint to an MCP client that supports OAuth authorization code with PKCE, then complete the browser-based authorization flow. Claude Code can add the connection with claude mcp add --transport http everygen https://everygen-ai.com/mcp. Cursor can use a server entry with the same URL, and Cline can install it with cline mcp add everygen https://everygen-ai.com/mcp --transport http --yes.
After authentication, list the available tools or call everygen_get_capabilities to verify the connection. Other MCP clients can use the same endpoint, but their configuration field names and OAuth setup may differ.
Tools and capabilities
The Everygen MCP server supports capabilities for:
- Discovering supported media types, models, and settings.
- Creating images from briefs and supported references.
- Creating short videos with supported models and owned references.
- Generating narration with available preset voices.
- Generating music.
- Planning and producing multi-shot AI Director projects.
- Browsing connected-account assets.
- Checking task and project status.
Limitations and notes
Everygen only operates on assets and projects owned by the authorized account. Briefs and references may be sent to model providers described in Everygen’s privacy policy. Disconnect or revoke OAuth access when the integration is no longer needed.
Available models and settings can change because they come from the service. The repository contains connection metadata, documentation, and brand assets rather than the application source code, credentials, or reviewer accounts. A client accepting the configuration does not guarantee that its public marketplace has approved an Everygen listing. The Everygen MCP server belongs to the Multimedia Process category and depends on an active Everygen account and available credits.
