What EveryCalc MCP server does
EveryCalc MCP server gives MCP-compatible AI assistants access to calculators hosted at everycalc.xyz. The available tools cover mortgage payments, refinancing, affordability, loans, compound interest, percentages, tips, salaries, auto loans, debt payoff, inflation, retirement accounts, taxes, property costs, insurance-related budgeting, dates, units, text metrics, and several other personal-finance or everyday calculations.
The project fits the Finance & Fintech category because many tools model borrowing, housing, income, investing, taxes, and household financial decisions. It also includes non-financial utilities such as age, date duration, BMI and TDEE, unit conversion, and word counting.
How it works
The hosted MCP endpoint accepts requests at https://everycalc.xyz/mcp using Streamable HTTP. Tools take structured inputs and return calculated results. Each result also includes a calculator_url deep link to the matching interactive page, allowing users to inspect the calculation visually after an assistant provides the answer.
The repository also provides a REST API at https://everycalc.xyz/api/v1/, with GET endpoints and JSON responses. The documented REST surface includes mortgage, refinance, affordability, loan, compound-interest, percentage, tip, and salary calculations, along with health and OpenAPI endpoints.
Setup and configuration
For the hosted deployment, add the endpoint to an MCP client configuration:
{
"mcpServers": {
"everycalc": {
"url": "https://everycalc.xyz/mcp"
}
}
}
No API key, signup, local installation, or environment variables are required to use the hosted service. The README identifies Claude and Cursor as compatible clients.
EveryCalc MCP server can also be deployed from source as a Cloudflare Worker. A local deployment requires Node 18 or newer and Wrangler. The repository uses npm install -g wrangler, wrangler login, and wrangler deploy; the deployment must point its assets configuration at the static-site build. Tests can be run with npm test.
Tools and capabilities
Representative capabilities include:
- Estimate mortgage payments with principal, interest, taxes, insurance, PMI, and HOA costs.
- Compare refinancing break-even timing and lifetime savings.
- Calculate loan payments, total interest, and optional amortization schedules.
- Project compound growth with monthly contributions.
- Convert salary across hourly, daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, and annual periods.
- Compare debt avalanche and snowball payoff strategies.
- Estimate income tax, paycheck deductions, capital-gains tax, and property tax.
- Compare rent versus buying, lease versus purchase, Roth versus traditional accounts, and ARM versus fixed-rate mortgages.
The calculator results include interactive links. Integrations that present tool output should preserve those links so users can open the relevant page.
Limitations and notes
The hosted MCP service is remote and uses Streamable HTTP. The provided material does not describe authentication, rate limits, uptime guarantees, or client-specific setup beyond the MCP URL. Several calculations use stated assumptions, such as the 28/36 affordability rule, US federal tax rules, specified contribution limits, or 2026 US federal holidays, so results should be interpreted according to the inputs and assumptions supplied to each tool.
EveryCalc MCP server is licensed under MIT. The repository's calculation engine is implemented as pure functions and shared by the REST and MCP handlers, while the hosted deployment runs on Cloudflare Workers.
