What disputes.online MCP server does
The disputes.online MCP server exposes read-only access to publicly available prediction-market information from disputes.online. Agents can find disputes that are open for betting, inspect the stake split between possible outcomes, and retrieve a specific dispute by its identifier or page URL.
Each returned dispute includes its page URL. Outcomes include the share of stakes as implied_probability and a payout multiplier. Monetary amounts use QOT, the platform's internal currency. Searches default to English, with a language parameter available for disputes written in other languages.
The server does not place bets, create disputes, or perform actions on behalf of a user.
Tools and capabilities
Available tools include:
search_disputes: Finds open disputes and supports filtering by language, category, and country. Results can be sorted by pool size, bet count, or closing time.
search_disputes_by_tags: Finds open disputes that contain any supplied tags.
get_dispute: Retrieves one open or settled dispute by ID or page URL. Settled records include the winning outcome.
list_categories: Returns the category tree, which can help an agent identify a category_id for later searches.
Together, these tools support discovery, filtering, and reading published market data. They do not expose a write operation or a tool for historical analysis beyond retrieving settled disputes.
How it works
The hosted disputes.online MCP server uses Streamable HTTP at https://disputes.online/mcp. It has no authentication requirement. Rather than reading a local database, it calls the public API used by the disputes.online website, including the dispute, category, and history services. Its responses therefore reflect information that the site currently publishes.
The service is stateless, so requests do not depend on a particular server replica. A health check is available at /health and returns ok.
Setup and configuration
Connect an MCP client directly to the hosted endpoint. Claude Code can be configured with:
claude mcp add --transport http disputes-online https://disputes.online/mcp
Clients that accept JSON MCP configuration can use an HTTP server entry with the same URL. The repository also supports running the service locally with Go. Local configuration can set APP_PORT, API_PATH, DISPUTES_URL, CATEGORIES_URL, and HISTORY_URL; PLATFORM_TIMEOUT controls the per-service call timeout, while RATE_LIMIT_RPS and RATE_LIMIT_BURST control request limiting. Defaults are provided for these settings.
Limitations and notes
The disputes.online MCP server reports only data exposed by the public disputes.online API. It cannot supply information absent from that API, and it does not maintain a separate database. Open-dispute searches return English by default unless another language is requested. QOT values are platform amounts, not a general currency conversion.
The server is read-only. Agents using it must handle any interpretation of implied probabilities themselves, and no tool can submit bets, create disputes, or modify platform data.
