Cursor plugin for CedarAI Data Depot. The plugin identifier is cedar-mcp.
It connects Cursor to Cedar ARMS through Cedar's remote Model Context Protocol server.
After Cedar login, you can list the carriers you can access and inspect read-only railcar inventory, equipment history, work orders, bookings, customers, charges, invoices, quotes, and note metadata. This connector cannot create, update, move, or delete ARMS records. Mutations belong in the ARMS UI.
You can also add the MCP URL by hand under Cursor Settings → MCP:
After this server is published to the official MCP Registry, search @mcp cedar in the VS Code Extensions view, or add it by hand in .vscode/mcp.json:
Then use Auth on the server and complete Cedar sign-in. Registry name: io.github.cedarai/cedar-mcp.
Auth is OAuth 2.0 against Cedar Accounts. Cursor prompts for Cedar sign-in when the plugin connects. There is no API key.
Pass a railroad road mark as carrier_code (for example TRLD) on catalog tools. Call list_accessible_carriers first if you are not sure which carriers you can access.
Each MCP request uses the signed-in user's existing ARMS permissions. Installing this plugin does not grant access to additional carriers or records.
Tool results are returned to Cursor so it can answer the user's request. Cedar minimizes sensitive fields before returning high-volume and free-text results, including street addresses, postal codes, email addresses, telephone numbers, note body text and attachments, invoice audit comments and documents, and selected tender and charge fields. Inventory responses are paginated and capped at 50 records per call.
Review the MCP privacy addendum and MCP data handling documentation before connecting.
The MCP server is hosted by Cedar. This repository is only the Cursor plugin wrapper (same pattern as Cursor's Google Drive plugin).
