What ai-ops does

The ai-ops MCP server gives MCP-compatible assistants access to the Levels of Self operations platform and its specialized AI services. The available tools cover several business workflows: Los Angeles neighborhood and property analysis, business legal guidance, translation, market and competitive research, company operations, professional content creation, training programs, and platform details.

All exposed tools are read-only. They return information or generated guidance but do not provide mutation operations. The platform exposes MCP resources alongside tools, including an overview, certification categories, a Los Angeles neighborhood guide, and business capabilities with NAICS codes.

How it works

An MCP client sends tool requests to the hosted endpoint or to a self-hosted Node.js process. The platform routes requests to specialized services for the relevant domain. For example, a request about family-friendly Los Angeles neighborhoods can use get_real_estate_insights, while a request for culturally adapted Armenian business copy can use translate_content.

The ai-ops MCP server supports two hosted transport styles: streamable HTTP at /mcp and SSE through /sse, with messages sent to /message for the SSE flow. The /mcp GET endpoint provides server and tool information. A separate /health endpoint is available without authentication.

Setup and configuration

Hosted access is available at https://api.100levelup.com/mcp-ops/. Configure the MCP client with that URL and send an API key as a bearer token in the Authorization header. Authentication is required for all requests other than /health; when no API keys are configured, requests are rejected.

For self-hosting, clone the repository, create an API-key file containing a JSON array such as ["your-key-here"], update the file path in server.js if necessary, and run node server.js. The local server listens on port 3472. The supplied setup instructions do not define an environment-variable configuration.

Limitations and notes

The ai-ops MCP server provides read-only access, so it is not suitable for changing records, submitting applications, or managing operational data. API-key authentication must be configured for normal requests. Legal, real-estate, research, and business outputs should be treated as informational responses from the connected services rather than evidence of a transaction or completed professional engagement. The README identifies MIT as the project license.
