## Description
Monitor websites, APIs, and servers: create monitors, triage incidents, and query uptime stats.

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Remote MCP endpoint (confidence: high). Install path detected from listing signals. Add as a URL/SSE server in your client:

```json
"mcpServers": {
  "uptimerobot": {
    "url": "https://mcp.uptimerobot.com/mcp"
  }
}
## Documentation
## What UptimeRobot MCP server does
The UptimeRobot MCP server gives compatible AI clients access to UptimeRobot monitoring operations through MCP. It can create monitors for HTTP, keyword, ping, port, heartbeat, DNS, API, and UDP checks. Agents can also edit monitor settings, pause or resume monitors, search and filter monitor lists, inspect individual configurations, and retrieve aggregated uptime statistics.
The integration also covers monitor organization and public status pages. On plans that include monitor groups, agents can create groups, assign monitors, rename groups, and retrieve group information. Status page tools support creating pages from monitors, groups, or tags, then changing page details such as visibility, ordering, domain, and publication state. Announcement tools can post or revise information, maintenance, or issue notices.
## How it works
The repository provides client-specific manifests and configuration files for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, while all three configurations launch `mcp-remote` against `https://mcp.uptimerobot.com/mcp`. This hosted endpoint handles the MCP connection; the repository itself also contains skills, rules, and onboarding material for supported clients.
For an interactive setup, the first connection opens a browser for UptimeRobot OAuth authorization. The resulting tokens are cached locally, so subsequent connections do not require repeating the authorization flow. The service is also listed in the official MCP Registry as `com.uptimerobot/uptimerobot`, allowing registry-aware clients to discover it.
## Setup and configuration
Claude Code users can install the plugin from the community marketplace once published, load a local checkout with `--plugin-dir`, or add only the MCP server with `claude mcp add`. Cursor supports marketplace installation or a local plugin directory. Codex can discover the repository-scoped local marketplace when the repository is opened, or reference it explicitly with `codex plugin marketplace add ./`.
Clients without registry support can use an MCP configuration that runs `npx -y mcp-remote@latest` with the hosted endpoint. OAuth is the normal interactive authentication method. For headless or CI environments, configure an HTTP connection to the same endpoint and send a UptimeRobot Main API key from the dashboard's Integrations & API area as a bearer token. No environment variable is required by the documented configurations.
## Tools and capabilities
The UptimeRobot MCP server provides 32 MCP tools, including:
- Creating, updating, pausing, resuming, listing, and inspecting monitors.
- Reading aggregated monitor statistics and time-series response times.
- Creating, renaming, listing, and retrieving monitor groups, where the account plan permits them.
- Creating, editing, retrieving, and listing public status pages.
- Publishing and editing status page announcements for information, maintenance, or issue events.
Monitor listings support pagination, search, and state filters. Monitor updates can change names, URLs, intervals, alert contacts, tags, and HTTP settings.
## Limitations and notes
Monitor groups are plan-gated by UptimeRobot. OAuth requires a browser, so headless deployments should use the documented Main API key method instead. The repository contains separate configuration filenames because Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex use different conventions, not because they connect to different MCP services. The supplied material does not document additional tool names beyond the groups listed above.
