Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **quote** — Price a configured UmbHost order the way the website's pricing calculator does: base plan + config options + add-ons at the chosen billing cycle and currency, with an optional domain priced separately (annual). Returns an estimate that matches the site and the cart. Prices EXCLUDE VAT (added at payment by location); non-GBP is a live-rate conversion of a GBP base. Omit configSelections to use the plan's defaults. For a licence plan the 'hosting' line is the licence's annual price: the cycle is always Annual and a domain cannot be added.

## What UmbHost — Umbraco hosting storefront MCP server does

UmbHost — Umbraco hosting storefront MCP server exposes UmbHost’s storefront functions through MCP. It covers buyable Umbraco hosting, email plans, and UmbCheckout licences. An agent can inspect live plan data, including resources, billing cycles, configuration options, add-ons, and prices. It can also check whether a domain is available for registration and retrieve the registration price.

The service supports two related but distinct purchase paths. Hosting plans require a site domain when checkout begins and may include an optional domain registration. Licence plans are billed annually, do not accept a site domain or domain registration, and include limits for licence domains and installs. Prices returned by the tools exclude VAT.

## How it works

Use `list_plans` to discover available products, optionally filtering by hosting, email, or licence and selecting an ISO currency. `get_plan` returns the complete record for one known plan key, including its cycle prices and available options. `quote` applies selected configuration options and add-ons to a plan, with an optional domain priced separately for an annual registration. Leaving selections out uses the plan defaults.

The currency conversion for non-GBP results is based on a live conversion from GBP pricing. The quote is intended to match the website calculator and the resulting cart. Licence quotes always use the annual cycle and cannot include a domain.

After selecting a configuration, `begin_checkout` seeds a server-side cart and returns a `checkoutUrl`. It does not charge a card or place the order. A person must open the URL, review the cart, and complete payment. `order_status` checks a cart created by that process using its `cartKey`; possible states include started, awaiting payment, paid, and not available.

## Setup and configuration

The repository provides a Claude Code plugin marketplace. Add the marketplace with:
