## Description
Search and install interactive React components with unusual motion, via the shadcn CLI.

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Install path detected from listing signals. Uses `npx` (confidence: high):

```json
"mcpServers": {
  "uicapsule": {
    "command": "npx",
    "args": ["-y","shadcn@latest"]
  }
}
```

## What UICapsule MCP server does

The UICapsule MCP server gives AI agents access to a curated collection of React components. Agents can search the collection using what a component does rather than relying only on a component name, then install a selected result through the shadcn CLI workflow.

Components are identified by slugs. The catalog is available at [uicapsule.com](https://www.uicapsule.com), where developers can browse the available slugs and inspect the collection before installing a component.

## How it works

The MCP endpoint is hosted at:

```text
https://www.uicapsule.com/mcp
```

Clients that support Streamable HTTP can connect to that URL. After connection, an agent can search for components by their behavior and install a chosen component. The underlying installation format follows the shadcn command pattern:

```bash
npx shadcn@latest add @uicapsule/<slug>
```

The UICapsule MCP server is also registered in the MCP Registry under `com.uicapsule/components`.

## Setup and configuration

Claude users can add the remote endpoint with the following command:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http uicapsule https://www.uicapsule.com/mcp
```

No environment variables, local package installation, or repository checkout are specified in the provided setup instructions. A client must support Streamable HTTP to use the hosted endpoint. For manual installation, replace `<slug>` in the shadcn command with the identifier for the component you want to add.

## Tools and capabilities

The UICapsule MCP server supports these workflows:

- Search the component collection by describing component behavior.
- Select a component using its catalog slug.
- Install a component through the shadcn CLI.
- Connect through a hosted Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint.

The provided material does not list individual MCP tool names or describe additional component operations beyond search and installation.

## Limitations and notes

The catalog is focused on React components distributed through the shadcn CLI. The material does not document a local stdio transport, authentication settings, configuration options, version pinning, or an API for modifying existing components. Component availability and exact identifiers should be checked in the UICapsule catalog before issuing an installation command.

Because the endpoint is remote and uses Streamable HTTP, compatibility depends on the MCP client supporting that transport. The README specifically demonstrates configuration with the `claude` command and states that other Streamable HTTP clients can use the same URL.
