- **compare_trade_tools** — Compare 2 to 12 trades tools side by side on price, category, trades, and integrations. Pass tool slugs, or a comparison slug like "ai-receptionist-pricing".
- **search_saas_vendors** — Search 300+ SaaS vendors tracked by SaaS Price Watch by name or category (crm, email, dev, design, ai, payments, and more). Returns the smallest monthly figure on each pricing page and the page URL.
- **get_vendor_pricing** — Get the public plan prices for one SaaS vendor, each with the quote from its pricing page and the date checked.
- **recent_price_changes** — List SaaS price changes detected between weekly checks: prices added and removed, with dates and source links.

## What Trades With AI + SaaS Price Watch does

Trades With AI + SaaS Price Watch MCP server gives AI agents access to two related datasets: a curated directory of AI and software products for trades businesses, and public pricing information for more than 300 SaaS vendors. The trade directory covers areas including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, lawn care, cleaning, pest control, and general contracting.

Pricing results include the vendor’s own wording and the date the information was checked. The service also records changes found during weekly checks of vendor pricing pages. ## How it works

## Setup and configuration

For clients that accept remote MCP servers, add the endpoint as the server URL. Claude Desktop, Cursor, and VS Code examples are provided in the project documentation. Cursor can also load the configuration from a project-level `.cursor/mcp.json` file, while VS Code supports its settings or `.vscode/mcp.json` configuration.

Clients without native remote-server support can connect through `mcp-remote` using `npx` and the same endpoint. No environment variables, API keys, or local service process are specified as required. Developers can also initialize a session and call tools with HTTP requests using JSON-RPC.

## Limitations and notes

The data is read-only and limited to publicly available information. Vendor pricing is checked weekly, so results may not reflect an immediate change made after the latest check. The source quote and verification date should be retained when price accuracy or auditability matters.

Trade-tool and SaaS results are directory data; the available material does not describe write operations, account-specific pricing, private plans, or authenticated vendor data.
