Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **tolk2go_search_support_knowledge** — Search approved Tolk2Go knowledge: FAQ answers, workflows such as the booking workflow, and domain cards such as booking status meanings. Translate the user's question to English before calling this tool. Use it before answering questions about booking steps, booking statuses, services, policies, cancellation, payment, or use of Tolk2Go. Answer only from directly supporting returned passages. If the tool fails, times out, is unavailable, or returns no directly supporting passage, do not guess and offer human support when appropriate.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_list_languages** — Step 1 of booking, no key needed. List the languages Tolk2Go interprets, with their IDs. Pass a language ID to tolk2go_interpreting_list_language_pairs.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_list_language_pairs** — No key needed. List the bookable language pairs (for example Arabic–Dutch) with the language_pair_id that availability search and create_booking need. Filter with a language_id from tolk2go_interpreting_list_languages to keep the list short.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_list_situations** — No key needed. List the situations (such as medical, legal or business) with the situation_id that availability search and create_booking need. Pick the one that matches the assignment.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_list_qualifications** — No key needed. List the qualification types the search page filters on (such as Sworn Interpreter) and their providers (such as a national register). Pass the IDs as qualification_nodes to tolk2go_interpreting_search_availability when the customer requires a sworn or otherwise qualified interpreter.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_search_availability** — No key needed. Search interpreters for one assignment with the same filters and results as the tolk2go.com search page. Returns interpreter IDs, ratings and prices (excl. and incl. VAT) plus paging. Search again immediately before tolk2go_interpreting_create_booking so the IDs and prices are current.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_list_bookings** — List this account’s interpreter bookings, optionally returning only changes after a timestamp or cursor.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_get_booking** — Read the authoritative owner-scoped booking, payment, change and next-action state.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_get_responses** — Poll which interpreters responded as available for an owned booking request, with their interpreter_id. An empty list means wait (see polling.recommended_after_seconds on the booking) and poll again. Next: tolk2go_interpreting_preview_selection.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_create_booking** — Create an owner-scoped interpreter request for one start and end time. First get the IDs with the discovery tools and run tolk2go_interpreting_search_availability immediately before this call. preferred_interpreter_ids are the interpreters (one or more, from that search) who are asked first; offer several, or one when the customer wants a specific interpreter, for example one they booked before. If they are not available or do not answer in time, Tolk2Go automatically asks the next matching interpreters, up to 64 at a time. Interpreters usually respond within an hour (FAQ), so tell the customer the request is out and check tolk2go_interpreting_get_responses later.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_preview_selection** — Read-only. The exact proposal that tolk2go_interpreting_select_interpreter would commit to for this interpreter: time, phone/video or on-site location, price incl. VAT, payment terms (deposit, deadline) and cancellation terms. Show it to the customer and get explicit approval before selecting.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_select_interpreter** — Book an interpreter who responded as available. This commits the customer: only call it after showing tolk2go_interpreting_preview_selection for the same interpreter and getting the customer’s explicit approval. If the result contains a payment URL, give it to the customer and poll tolk2go_interpreting_get_booking until the booking is confirmed.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_request_change** — Submit supported changes through the existing customer approval flow.
- **tolk2go_interpreting_cancel_booking** — Cancel an owned interpreter booking.

## What Tolk2Go Interpreter Booking does

Tolk2Go Interpreter Booking gives an AI agent access to the Tolk2Go interpreter-booking workflow. It can identify bookable language pairs and assignment situations, find interpreters using the same filters as the Tolk2Go search page, and create an interpreter request for a specified time range.

The service covers on-site, phone, and video assignments. Availability results include interpreter IDs, ratings, prices before and after VAT, and paging information. Qualification filters can be used when a customer needs a sworn interpreter or another specific qualification.

After a request is created, the agent can check which interpreters responded, preview the exact terms for a proposed selection, and select an interpreter after customer approval. It can also read booking state, submit supported changes, and cancel an owned booking.

## How it works

The MCP endpoint is available at `https://api.tolk2go.com/api/v1/mcp` using Streamable HTTP. A client sends the Tolk2Go agent key as a Bearer token in the `Authorization` header.

A typical booking flow is:

1. List languages, language pairs, situations, and any required qualification types.
2. Search availability using the resulting IDs and the assignment details.
3. Create a request, supplying one or more preferred interpreter IDs from the fresh availability search.
4. Check for interpreter responses later; an empty response means the agent should wait and poll again according to the booking’s recommended interval.
5. Preview the proposed selection and show its time, location or call type, price, payment terms, and cancellation terms to the customer.
6. Select the interpreter only after explicit approval.
7. If a payment URL is returned, provide it to the customer and check the booking until it is confirmed.

The knowledge-search tool can answer supported questions about Tolk2Go services, policies, booking steps, statuses, cancellation, and payment from approved knowledge passages.

## Setup and configuration

Create a Tolk2Go account, then log in to obtain a short-lived token. Use that token to issue an agent key, which is shown only once. Store the key in the MCP client’s secret configuration and send it as a Bearer token.

Agent keys default to 90 days and can be issued for 7 to 365 days. They can be listed, rotated, or revoked after logging in again. The optional agent skill can be installed with `npx skills add Tolk2Go-Organization/agent-skills`.

## Limitations and notes

Availability should be searched immediately before creating a booking so interpreter IDs and prices remain current. Selecting an interpreter commits the customer, so the preview and explicit approval steps are required first. Interpreter requests may take time to receive responses; the service’s polling guidance should be followed rather than treating an empty response as a rejection. The knowledge tool should only support answers with directly relevant returned passages.
