## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **search_products** — Search public sellable variants by words, brand/category/purpose, skin type, ingredient, availability and price in SGD cents. Use variant_id when adding items; follow next_page for more results.
- **get_product** — Get product descriptions, ingredients, usage, images and variants. product accepts a product ID, product slug, variant slug or SKU.
- **create_cart** — Create an empty persistent cart without account login. Save cart_id, version and the private guest_token if returned. Pass guest_token on subsequent shopping calls. Account authentication is optional.
- **get_cart** — Read cart items, coupon, version and checkout lock.

- **quote_cart** — Reprice the cart with current stock, scheduled prices and discounts. All amounts are SGD cents; shipping is free within Singapore. Stock is not reserved. Save version and total for checkout.
- **create_checkout** — Prepare a Tanatasa checkout review link for a quoted cart. Provide quoted version and expected_total in SGD cents. Keep the same idempotency_key and input on retries. Locks cart. Buyer reviews items and enters contact/delivery details on Tanatasa before paying. No payment occurs in this tool; get_order reports progress and webhook-confirmed status.
- **get_order** — Get payment and fulfilment status and tracking for a purchase created by this guest session or account connection. Supply guest_token for guest purchases. Payment confirmation comes from Stripe webhooks. Does not update prior purchases.
- **checkout_session** — Prepare checkout from product feed item IDs and quantities without account login. For guests, call create_cart first and supply its guest_token. Optional item metadata is not authoritative. Returns a Tanatasa review link; the buyer enters delivery details and approves payment. Supply a new idempotency_key per purchase and retain it and guest_token on retries.

## What Tanatasa Beauty does

Tanatasa Beauty exposes shopping operations for the Tanatasa Singapore store through MCP. It covers the path from product discovery to post-purchase status: search the catalog, inspect product information, create a guest cart, adjust quantities, apply discounts, recalculate totals, prepare checkout, and retrieve order progress.

Product searches can use free-text terms as well as brand, category, purpose, skin type, ingredient, availability, and price filters. Results use SGD cents for price values and identify sellable variants for cart operations. Product details include descriptions, ingredients, usage information, images, and available variants.

Guest shopping is supported without an API key or login. Account authentication is optional. Delivery is limited to Singapore, and shipping is free within Singapore according to the cart quote behavior.

## How it works

Connect an MCP client to the hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint:

For a guest purchase, create a cart first and retain the returned `cart_id`, `version`, and private `guest_token` when available. Use the current cart version when changing items or applying a coupon. Cart item quantities are absolute values: setting a quantity to zero removes the variant.

Before checkout, call `quote_cart` to recalculate stock, scheduled prices, discounts, and the total. Quoting does not reserve inventory. Pass the quoted version and expected SGD-cent total to `create_checkout` to obtain a Tanatasa review link. The buyer completes contact and delivery details and approves payment on Tanatasa; the checkout tool itself does not take payment.

Retries for checkout-related calls should preserve the same idempotency key and input. The separate `checkout_session` flow can prepare a purchase from product feed item IDs and quantities, but guest sessions still require a cart and guest token.

## Tools and capabilities

- `search_products` finds public sellable variants and supports pagination through `next_page`.
- `get_product` accepts a product ID, product slug, variant slug, or SKU.
- `create_cart` starts a persistent empty cart without account login.
- `get_cart` returns items, coupon data, cart version, and checkout lock state.
- `set_cart_item` adds or updates variants while checking availability. A cart can contain up to 20 variants, with no more than 99 units of each.
- `set_cart_coupon` applies a coupon or removes one with `null`; automatic discounts also apply.
- `quote_cart` recalculates current stock, prices, discounts, shipping, and totals.
- `create_checkout` creates a review link for a quoted cart and locks that cart.
- `checkout_session` creates checkout preparation from feed item IDs and quantities.
- `get_order` reports payment, fulfilment, and tracking information for purchases associated with the guest session or connected account.

## Limitations and notes

All monetary amounts use Singapore dollars represented as cents. Inventory is checked during cart updates and repricing, but `quote_cart` does not reserve stock. A checkout link sends the buyer to Tanatasa to review the order and provide delivery information; no payment occurs inside the MCP tool call.

Payment confirmation is based on Stripe webhooks. `get_order` can report purchases from the current guest session or account connection, but it does not modify earlier purchases. For guest order lookups, provide the relevant `guest_token`.

When using `checkout_session`, item metadata is optional and is not authoritative. Use a new idempotency key for each purchase and retain both the key and guest token for retries.
