## What the Swipefast MCP server does

The Swipefast MCP server gives AI applications access to Swipefast’s checkout and sales operations. Swipefast is a hosted service; this repository provides the `swipefast` command-line client and an agent skill rather than the service itself.

The client and skill use the same hosted MCP server that supported AI applications connect to. This makes the repository useful when you want to operate Swipefast from a terminal, script, or agent that can read Agent Skills. The skill describes safe operating rules, including not inventing prices or links and treating live changes as approval requests.

As an 🛒 E-Commerce tool, the Swipefast MCP server fits workflows for creating and reviewing checkouts, examining sales performance, and preparing changes that a person must approve before they affect buyers.

## How it works

Install the CLI with Node.js 18 or newer, then authenticate with a Swipefast API key. The key can be entered through `swipefast login`; it is saved in the user’s configuration file. The `SWIPEFAST_API_KEY` environment variable is also supported.

Commands cover common operations such as listing checkouts, viewing one checkout with its order bump and upsell, inspecting recent orders, calculating revenue, reading conversion statistics, and viewing performance findings. Adding `--json` produces compact output intended for scripts and agents.

The `call` command provides a general route to MCP tools. It accepts a tool name and arguments as command-line options or as a JSON object, so tools added to the MCP server can be used through the CLI when they become available.

## Setup and configuration

Install the command-line client globally:

```bash
npm install -g swipefast
```

You can also run it without a global installation using `npx swipefast --help`. Authenticate with:

```bash
swipefast login
```

Copy the `skills/swipefast` directory into the skills location used by Claude Code, or provide that directory to another agent that reads Agent Skills. The skill can be used with the hosted MCP server or with the CLI.

The Swipefast MCP server also has setup instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Gemini. The repository does not host the Swipefast service itself.

## Tools and capabilities

Available CLI operations include:

- List all live and draft checkouts with `products`.
- Inspect a checkout, including its bump, upsell, and links, with `product`.
- Review recent orders with `orders`.
- Calculate revenue, order counts, and refunds for a time range with `revenue`.
- Read visits, conversion, bump, and upsell take rates with `stats`.
- View issues identified by performance rules with `findings`.
- Request publication of a checkout with `publish`.
- List server tools and whether each reads or writes with `tools`.
- Invoke any named MCP tool with `call`.

## Limitations and notes

New checkouts remain drafts until they are published. Publishing through the CLI only creates a request; confirmation happens in Swipefast. Changes to live checkouts also become approval requests and generate an email. Approved changes can be rolled back.

The Swipefast MCP server and CLI cannot refund orders, pay out funds, or move money. The API key is stored in `~/.config/swipefast/config.json` when login is used, with access restricted to the user. The repository is MIT licensed.
