## Documentation

## What Sidereon MCP server does

The Sidereon MCP server represents a broad GNSS and astrodynamics toolkit centered on a Rust implementation. Its documented subject areas include satellite orbit propagation, GNSS positioning, precise time and frame transformations, atmospheric modeling, geodesy, observation processing, and standard navigation-data formats.

The underlying project is designed to keep validated mathematical behavior available across several language interfaces. Those interfaces include Python, C, Go, WebAssembly, and Elixir. A browser demonstration is also described, with satellite tracking, ground tracks, coverage, conjunction screening, and orbit determination computed through WebAssembly.

## How it works

Sidereon combines specialized numerical models and data parsers rather than focusing on one navigation workflow. Orbit processing can use TLE or OMM inputs for SGP4/SDP4, numerical propagation with selectable force models, or Keplerian methods. GNSS workflows can consume broadcast or precise ephemerides, RINEX observations, correction products, and receiver or station data.

The library also includes estimation, integrity, and uncertainty handling. Examples include covariance-aware positioning, RAIM and ARAIM protection levels, RTK and PPP processing, track filtering, orbit determination, and geofencing based on position covariance. Time support covers UTC, TAI, TT, UT1, TDB, TCG, TCB, and GNSS system times, with leap-second and Earth-orientation data.

## Tools and capabilities

The documented capability areas include:

- Propagating individual satellites, batches, and constellations; calculating passes, visibility, coverage, ground tracks, eclipses, and conjunction metrics.
- Solving single-point, static, differential, RTK, PPP, and Doppler positioning problems across GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS.
- Decoding and serializing RINEX, RTCM, SP3, IONEX, TLE, OMM, CCSDS, NMEA, ANTEX, Bias-SINEX, and related formats.
- Running RINEX observation quality checks for completeness, multipath, and cycle slips, plus carrier-phase combinations and Hatch smoothing.
- Applying atmosphere, ionosphere, troposphere, terrain, geoid, Earth-orientation, and station-displacement models.
- Performing clock stability analysis, geodesic calculations, coordinate transformations, source localization, GNSS/INS fusion, and deterministic simulation.

## Limitations and notes

Therefore, the Sidereon MCP server’s exact runtime setup and client compatibility cannot be confirmed from this material alone.

The project emphasizes reference validation and reproducibility, including bit-reproducible simulation scenarios and comparisons against public or published references.
