## Documentation

## What the Shopino MCP server does

The Shopino MCP server gives an AI agent read-only access to Shopino, an Iranian marketplace that aggregates clothing, bags, and shoes from online and Instagram shops. It can search across the catalog, compare prices, inspect available colors and sizes, review shop information, find similar products, and retrieve promotions or blog articles.

Searches work best in Persian, and prices are returned in Toman. The catalog described by the project contains about 960,000 products from roughly 10,000 shops. Results include product and shop identifiers that can be passed to follow-up tools. For example, an agent can find low-priced matches, inspect a product’s size-level stock, and then review the seller’s rating and buyer surveys.

This is an 🛒 E-Commerce tool for product research rather than transaction processing. It does not provide login, cart, checkout, order, or likes functionality.

## How it works

The Shopino MCP server runs on the user’s machine as a standard stdio MCP process. The agent communicates with it over MCP, while the process makes HTTPS requests to Shopino’s application endpoints for catalog, product, shop, deal, curated-listing, similar-item, and blog data. The README states that no hosted intermediary or API key is required.

A typical workflow starts with `sh_find_cheapest` or `sh_search`. The agent can then call `sh_product` for color, size, price, stock, size-guide, and description details, followed by `sh_shop` for seller information. `sh_similar` can help compare the same or related item across other shops. Paginated responses provide a `next_cursor` for retrieving more results.

## Setup and configuration

Install `uv` with Python 3.10 or newer, then run the server with `uvx shopino-mcp`. The package can also be installed with pip and started through the `shopino-mcp` command. Claude Code uses `claude mcp add shopino -- uvx shopino-mcp`; Claude Desktop, Cursor, and VS Code can configure the same command and arguments in their MCP settings.

The Shopino MCP server does not require an account, API key, or login. Set `SHOPINO_MCP_PROXY` only when requests need to use an HTTP proxy. The server uses stdio transport, so other MCP clients that support standard stdio configuration can run the same command.

## Tools and capabilities

The 14 tools are grouped around product discovery, seller research, and editorial content:

- `sh_search` searches shops by keyword and supports category, shop, size, price, and city filters.
- `sh_find_cheapest` returns in-stock keyword matches as a price-sorted list.
- `sh_browse` explores categories, shops, tags, and curated listings with sorting and filters.
- `sh_filters`, `sh_categories`, and `sh_brands` expose available sizes, categories, brands, and related identifiers.
- `sh_deals` and `sh_campaign` retrieve flash-sale content, campaigns, discount codes, and product rows.
- `sh_product`, `sh_similar`, `sh_shops`, and `sh_shop` provide item comparisons, stock details, similar listings, and seller information.
- `sh_blog_search` and `sh_blog_post` find and read Shopino style guides and model galleries.

## Limitations and notes

Because the Shopino MCP server is read-only, it cannot purchase products or manage an account. Shipping fees are not available because they are quoted by each shop and address during checkout. A null price generally indicates that no price is shown, often because the item is out of stock. Prices, discounts, inventory, and campaign content can change, so returned values should be treated as current lookup results rather than permanent records.
