## Description
Read and update your UK cap table: instruments, stakeholders, holdings and account representatives.

## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **get_instruments** — Returns all share/option classes for your company
- **create_instrument** — Creates a new share class or option class
- **get_stakeholders** — Returns all stakeholders for your company
- **create_stakeholder** — Creates a new stakeholder
- **get_holdings** — Returns holdings (optionally filtered to a stakeholder)
- **create_holding** — Allots shares or awards options to a stakeholder
- **get_representatives** — Returns representatives for a stakeholder or all company users
- **add_representative** — Adds a new user to manage a stakeholder or company account
- **unlock_shareflo** — Internal initialization step called automatically by the client at the start of a session; returns the operating rules the other tools follow

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
No confirmed install details yet, so no config is published. Follow the setup steps in the repository above.

## Documentation

## What Shareflo MCP server does

Shareflo MCP server gives AI clients access to selected Shareflo cap-table operations for UK companies. Shareflo is a UK platform for early-stage startups that manages equity instruments, stakeholder records, share and option events, vesting schedules, and Companies House compliance. Through MCP, an authenticated client can inspect records and perform supported updates.

The available data is scoped to the authenticated user’s company. The connector follows Shareflo’s existing privacy rules; it does not add access or circumvent permissions. The platform is free for companies with up to 20 stakeholders, according to the supplied project information.

## How it works

Shareflo MCP server is hosted at `https://mcp.shareflo.co.uk/mcp` and uses the streamable HTTP transport. A compatible client adds that endpoint as a connector, then redirects the user to Shareflo’s OAuth login. After authorization, tool calls operate against the company associated with that Shareflo account.

Authentication is handled through Shareflo’s own login. The connector does not require an API key or manually supplied credentials. At the beginning of a session, the client automatically calls `unlock_shareflo`; this initialization tool returns the operating rules used by the other tools.

The repository documents the connector and registry entry rather than containing the server implementation. It is published in the official MCP Registry as `uk.co.shareflo/shareflo`.

## Setup and configuration

Add the MCP endpoint to an MCP client that supports remote streamable-HTTP connections, such as Claude Desktop or Claude.ai. The basic setup is:

1. Create a new connector using `https://mcp.shareflo.co.uk/mcp`.
2. Complete the Shareflo OAuth sign-in when redirected.
3. Approve access and use the tools within the scope of the authorized company account.

No environment variables, API keys, or separate credential configuration are described for this connector. Shareflo provides a help-centre guide for connecting it to Claude with screenshots.

## Tools and capabilities

Shareflo MCP server exposes read and write operations for the following areas:

- Instruments: list the company’s share and option classes, or create a new class.
- Stakeholders: list stakeholders or add a new stakeholder record.
- Holdings: inspect holdings, optionally for one stakeholder, and allot shares or award options.
- Representatives: list representatives for a stakeholder or all company users, and add a user to manage a stakeholder or the company account.
- Session initialization: run the internal `unlock_shareflo` step automatically at session start.

These tools support workflows such as reviewing who holds equity, checking which class an option belongs to, creating an EMI option class, recording a stakeholder, awarding options, or checking account-management access.

## Limitations and notes

Operations are limited to the capabilities exposed by the listed tools and to the authorized user’s company data. The connector does not bypass Shareflo permissions. The supplied material does not describe bulk operations, deletion tools, custom API credentials, or local server deployment.

Because the repository is a connector document rather than the server source, implementation details beyond the endpoint, authentication flow, transport, and tool descriptions are not specified. Support questions should be directed to Shareflo’s Help Centre or support resources.
