## Description
Your agent sends real postcards and letters. You approve; we print and mail.

## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **get_pricing** — List mail products and prices (USD, printing + USPS First-Class postage included, US addresses only).
- **create_postcard** — Create a postcard order (4x6, 6x9 or 6x11) and get a payment link. Front layouts: a big headline on a color, one photo, a photo with a caption, or a collage of 2-4 photos; the back carries the message (handwriting, serif or sans) and addresses. Set express for USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days, tracked). Mails only after the user pays.
- **create_letter** — Create a printed letter order (8.5x11, mailed in a #10 envelope) and get a payment link. Either write it (content.body, up to ~3 pages, optional photo) or mail the user's own PDF (content.pdf_url, a public https link, up to 6 pages). Set certified to "certified" for USPS Certified Mail with tracking and proof of delivery, or "certified_return_receipt" to add the recipient's signature; use these when the user needs proof (tax notice replies, lease notices, disputes, demand letters). Or set express for USPS Priority Mail (not with certified). Prices: get_pricing. Mails only after the user pays.
- **pay_order** — Pay for an unpaid order with a Stripe shared payment token (spt_…) the user approved, scoped to at least the order amount in USD. For an order created with recipients, this pays for the whole group at once (scope the token to batch.price). On success the order is paid and goes to print. Use only after the user approved the purchase.
- **get_order** — Get the status of a postcard or letter order by id (ord_...).
- **cancel_order** — Cancel an order that has not been paid yet. Paid orders can be cancelled by emailing support before they are printed.

## What the Sendpaper MCP server does

The Sendpaper MCP server connects an AI agent to Sendpaper’s physical-mail service for creating and tracking postcard and letter orders. It covers US addresses and includes printing plus USPS postage in the listed price. A person reviews each item before it is printed and mailed.

Postcards can use 4×6, 6×9, or 6×11 formats. Their fronts may contain a large colored headline, one photo, a photo with a caption, or a collage of two to four photos. The message and recipient address appear on the back, with handwriting, serif, or sans-serif styling available.

Letters are printed on 8.5×11 paper and sent in a #10 envelope. An agent can provide written content of roughly three pages, optionally with a photo, or submit a publicly accessible HTTPS PDF URL of up to six pages. Certified Mail and a return receipt are available for notices and other correspondence requiring delivery evidence. Priority Mail express delivery is also supported where compatible with the selected order.

## How the Sendpaper MCP server works

The Sendpaper MCP server uses the hosted MCP endpoint at `https://sendmypaper.com/mcp`. An agent first checks prices, then creates an order and receives a print preview with a Stripe checkout link. The agent can create one order for a group of up to 25 recipients by passing a recipient list instead of a single destination.

Payment is a separate approval step. A user can complete checkout, or an agent can call `pay_order` with a Stripe shared payment token beginning with `spt_`; that token must cover the order amount and be approved for this purchase. Group orders require a token scoped to the batch price. After successful payment, the order moves to printing, subject to human review.

Unpaid orders can be cancelled through the server. Paid orders may be cancellable by contacting support before printing. Order status is retrieved with the order ID.

## Tools and capabilities

- `get_pricing` lists products and prices in USD for US addresses.
- `create_postcard` creates a postcard order and returns payment information.
- `create_letter` creates a written-letter or PDF-letter order.
- `pay_order` pays an approved unpaid order with a Stripe shared payment token.
- `get_order` retrieves postcard or letter status by order ID.
- `cancel_order` cancels an unpaid order.

## Setup and configuration

Codex can add the hosted endpoint with `codex mcp add sendpaper --url https://sendmypaper.com/mcp`. Muse Code uses a streamable-HTTP MCP entry with the same URL. Claude Code can install the Sendpaper plugin, which includes the MCP server and `send-mail` skill, or add the endpoint directly with `claude mcp add --transport http sendpaper https://sendmypaper.com/mcp`.

No environment variables are documented as required. Prices may change; agents should call `get_pricing` before presenting a purchase amount. Express delivery uses USPS Priority Mail, while certified options provide tracking and, when selected, proof of delivery or the recipient’s signature.
