## Documentation

## What Searcherries: AI Visibility & SEO MCP server does

Searcherries: AI Visibility & SEO MCP server gives MCP clients read-only access to data stored in a Searcherries account. The service tracks how AI platforms answer configured customer questions, including whether a brand is mentioned, which competitors appear, and which pages or domains are cited. It can also expose connected Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Analytics 4 data.

The server is intended for analysis and planning rather than account administration. It cannot change projects, tracked questions, data connections, or billing. A tool call reads stored account data and does not initiate a new request to Google, Bing, or an AI platform.

## How it works

The hosted endpoint uses Streamable HTTP at `https://app.searcherries.com/mcp/searcherries`. Authentication uses OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration. Personal access tokens are available for clients that cannot complete the OAuth flow.

After authentication, the client can query only the projects belonging to the authorized Searcherries account. The returned information can help an assistant identify questions where competitors are named, pages that AI answers cite, search opportunities, and sessions referred by AI assistants. Searcherries also provides MCP prompts for repeatable workflows such as audits, content-gap reviews, competitor comparisons, page briefs, question reviews, action plans, and weekly reports.

## Setup and configuration

A Searcherries account on a paid plan is required, and an active trial qualifies. The account must contain at least one project. No local process, package installation, or server runtime is required.

VS Code can add the endpoint through its MCP configuration or installation link, then opens a browser sign-in flow. Claude Code and Codex provide command-line setup commands, Cursor accepts the endpoint in its MCP configuration file, and Claude can use a custom connector. The same endpoint can be configured in other MCP clients that support Streamable HTTP and the required authentication flow.

## Tools and capabilities

The Searcherries: AI Visibility & SEO MCP server exposes these read-only tools:

- `list-projects` finds the projects available to the signed-in account.
- `get-project-summary` returns key questions, KPIs, competitors, cited domains, and recent search and traffic totals.
- `get-ai-answers` reports stored answers and judgments about brand prominence, sentiment, and off-topic results.
- `get-competitors` provides named brands, detailed competitor information, and monthly history.
- `get-citations` lists cited URLs and domains, including the account’s pages.
- `get-search-performance` surfaces Search Console and Bing queries, pages, trends, opportunities, and question-shaped searches.
- `get-ai-traffic` shows GA4 sessions attributed to AI assistants, landing pages, and history.
- `get-action-plan` returns prioritized next steps with dated evidence.
- `get-project-data` supplies bulk sections for deeper analysis.

## Limitations and notes

The Searcherries: AI Visibility & SEO MCP server is read-only. It cannot modify the source website or Searcherries configuration, although an editor-based assistant may use the analysis while separately editing pages through other tools. Results are limited to data already stored in Searcherries and to projects authorized for the signed-in account. OAuth support varies by client; a personal access token may be needed when browser-based authorization is unavailable.
