## Documentation

## What relaticle does

Relaticle exposes an open-source CRM to AI agents through Model Context Protocol. The CRM organizes companies, people, opportunities, tasks, and notes, giving agents access to customer records and sales activity. The MCP interface supports reading and changing CRM data, examining the available schema, reviewing activity history, and analyzing pipeline information.

The underlying application also provides a REST API, custom fields, and workspace-based data isolation. Custom fields can represent text, dates, currency, select values, and links between records. This makes the MCP connection useful when an agent needs to work with a CRM model tailored to a particular sales process rather than a fixed set of fields.

## How it works

Agents connect over Streamable HTTP. The hosted endpoint is `https://mcp.relaticle.com`; a self-hosted installation uses the deployment's `/mcp` path. Authentication can use OAuth 2.1 or a personal access token, and one MCP connection operates within one workspace. Workspace roles and permissions control the data available to the connected agent.

Relaticle can be used with Claude through an MCP connector, with ChatGPT through its plugin listing, and with Claude Code, Cursor, and Gemini CLI through the Relaticle agent plugins. Other MCP-compatible clients can connect using the HTTP endpoint and an available authentication method.

## Setup and configuration

For a hosted CRM, connect the agent to the hosted MCP URL and complete the applicable authentication flow. For self-hosting, Relaticle provides a Docker Compose setup containing the application, queue worker, scheduler, WebSocket server, PostgreSQL, and Redis services.

A basic Docker deployment requires an application key, database password, and application URL in `.env`, followed by `docker compose up -d`. Create the first administrator with `docker compose exec app php artisan make:filament-user`. The application can also be installed from source with PHP 8.5 or later, PostgreSQL 17 or later, Composer 2, and Node.js 22 or later. Redis is optional for development.

## Tools and capabilities

- Read and update companies, people, opportunities, tasks, and notes.
- Perform CRUD operations against CRM records.
- Inspect the CRM schema and custom fields.
- Review activity history associated with CRM data.
- Analyze sales pipeline information.
- Work with workspace-scoped data and permissions.

## Limitations and notes

Each connection is scoped to one workspace, so agents do not operate across workspaces through a single MCP connection. Self-hosting requires maintaining the Relaticle application and its supporting services. The main repository is licensed under AGPL-3.0; the cloud package has a separate license. Software integrating only through the REST API or MCP server may use its own license under the stated integration exception.
