## What Qreate: Discord community management does

Qreate: Discord community management connects supported AI clients to the Qreate service for managing Discord communities. The hosted MCP endpoint exposes operations for discovering accessible servers, reading existing configuration, planning changes, reviewing those plans, and applying approved work.

The workflow covers channels, roles, and module settings. Qreate’s current catalogue includes 36 modules, with examples such as welcome flows, verification, tickets, role menus, leveling, giveaways, and automations. The planner determines which changes are available for a particular server and its permissions, so the catalogue does not guarantee that every module or operation can be used everywhere.

The service also provides server templates and previews, ongoing run inspection, and message workflows. An AI client can prepare an announcement, show the complete draft, and publish it only after approval.

## How it works

Qreate runs as a hosted service at `https://mcp.qreate.gg/mcp`; the repository contains connection documentation and configuration examples rather than the application source or a local server implementation. Clients connect remotely and authenticate through OAuth.

A typical session follows three stages:

1. The agent reads the server and identifies available capabilities.
2. Qreate prepares a stored plan and asks for missing information when needed.
3. The user reviews and approves the plan before Qreate applies it.

The same review-oriented approach applies to announcements. Plans can be inspected before execution, and applied change batches can be reversed with the undo operation when supported by the service. Recent and active planning work can be examined through run-inspection tools.

## Setup and configuration

Qreate: Discord community management requires a Qreate account, a Discord server that you administer with Qreate connected, and an AI client that supports remote MCP and OAuth. Client or workspace policies may prevent custom connections.

Use the hosted URL as the MCP server address. Claude web or Desktop accepts it as a custom web connector, while Cursor provides an installation link in the project documentation. Claude Code can add it with an HTTP configuration such as:

```sh
claude mcp add-json qreate '{"type":"http","url":"https://mcp.qreate.gg/mcp"}'
```

After adding the connection, complete OAuth sign-in and consent, then ask the client to list the Discord servers available through Qreate. No repository clone or local installation is needed. ChatGPT setup uses its custom MCP server or plugin connection flow, depending on the interface and account settings.

## Tools and capabilities

The documented catalogue contains 20 tools grouped around these tasks:

- List accessible servers and inspect capabilities.
- Read server details, context, channels, roles, modules, and module configuration.
- Create, preview, clarify, apply, and inspect setup plans.
- List, preview, plan, and apply server recipes.
- Preview and publish messages.
- Inspect planning runs and undo an applied change batch.

Named tools include `qreate_list_servers`, `qreate_get_capabilities`, `qreate_plan_setup`, `qreate_preview_plan`, `qreate_apply_plan`, `qreate_get_recipes`, `qreate_preview_message`, `qreate_publish_message`, and `qreate_undo_changes`. Clients may add a namespace prefix to these names.

## Limitations and notes

Qreate: Discord community management is not distributed as a local server in this repository. The service is actively updated, so clients may need to refresh their connector to discover catalogue changes. The documented preview endpoint is reserved for a future channel and should not be used; the main endpoint is the supported connection address.

Available changes depend on Qreate’s planner and the Discord server permissions. Example prompts in the documentation describe possible requests, not guaranteed one-step templates or fixed outcomes. Fresh OAuth sign-in was not tested for every client during the documentation review, and custom connections can be restricted by account or workspace policy.
