## Description
Sourced prop-firm daily-loss and max-drawdown rules and a drawdown-room checker. Read-only, no auth.

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Install path detected from listing signals. Uses `npx` (confidence: high):

```json
"mcpServers": {
  "prop-firm-rules-floorguard": {
    "command": "npx",
    "args": ["-y","github:kburrus64-max/prop-firm-rules"]
## Documentation
## What Prop Firm Rules (FloorGuard) MCP server does
The Prop Firm Rules (FloorGuard) MCP server provides read-only access to a structured dataset covering 9 firms and 13 programs. It includes daily loss limits, maximum drawdown values, whether drawdown is static or trailing, lock behavior, daily reset times, source links, verification dates, and notes about whether values were confirmed. Supported firms include FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers, E8 Markets, FundingPips, Alpha Capital, Blue Guardian, Topstep, and Apex Trader Funding.
The dataset also records published copy-trading, multi-account, and automation policies where the firms’ documentation addresses them. Unknown values remain identified as unknown rather than being inferred.
## How it works
Prop Firm Rules (FloorGuard) MCP server exposes three local MCP tools: `list_firms`, `get_rules`, and `check_drawdown`. The first lists available firms, the second returns rules for a firm or program, and the third evaluates daily-loss and drawdown room from account inputs. Calculations account for concepts such as day-start balance, day-start equity, open profit and loss, static limits, trailing limits, and intraday trailing behavior where represented by the dataset.
The hosted endpoint is available at `https://floorguard-kappa.vercel.app/api/mcp` and requires no API key. A local stdio mode runs from `mcp/server.mjs` with Node 18 or newer and has no runtime dependencies. Local execution works offline against the bundled dataset.
## Setup and configuration
For an HTTP-capable MCP client, add the server with the hosted URL. Claude Code can add it with:
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http prop-firm-rules https://floorguard-kappa.vercel.app/api/mcp
```
For local stdio use, configure the repository as an `npx` MCP command:
```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "prop-firm-rules": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "github:kburrus64-max/prop-firm-rules"]
    }
  }
}
```
No environment variables, credentials, or authentication settings are documented. The repository also contains JavaScript and Python calculator libraries, but those are separate from the MCP connection.
## Tools and capabilities
- List supported firms and programs.
- Retrieve sourced rule details and program-specific notes.
- Calculate daily-loss room, drawdown room, status, and related position-sizing results from supplied account data.
- Inspect source links, verification dates, and fields marked as unverified.
- Use the bundled dataset without network access through the local server.
Prop Firm Rules (FloorGuard) MCP server is suited to agents that need to compare published account constraints, explain a program’s limits, or perform a drawdown-room check from current balance, equity, and profit-and-loss inputs.
## Limitations and notes
Rules can change, and some firms offer multiple percentage choices or account configurations. The dataset is checked on the date shown for each program, and some fields—such as certain reset time zones—are explicitly unverified. Topstep and Apex entries also contain program-specific behavior that should be read with their notes rather than reduced to a generic daily-loss rule.
Results should be checked against the firm’s current rules and account dashboard before use. The project states that it is not affiliated with the listed firms and does not provide financial advice. Prop Firm Rules (FloorGuard) MCP server is read-only; the supplied material does not describe actions that modify trading accounts or place trades.
