## Documentation

## What the oqro MCP server does

The oqro MCP server gives an MCP-compatible client access to company and disclosure research for US-listed stocks. Its data includes SEC filings, House and Senate transaction reports, USAspending.gov contract awards, and federal lobbying reports. Records link back to the source document, so an agent can present both a result and the filing or report behind it.

The service covers company lookup, reported financial results, market performance, insider activity, congressional trades, fund position changes, government contracts, and lobbying. It also provides screening and ranking functions for comparing companies or disclosed buyers. OQRO reports what was filed; it does not provide investment advice.

## How it works

The oqro MCP server is exposed remotely through Streamable HTTP at `https://oqro.io/api/mcp`. A client sends MCP tool requests to that endpoint after authentication. The listed protocol version is MCP `2025-06-18`.

Authentication uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. The tool list can be viewed before signing in, but tool calls require an active OQRO Pro subscription. The listed subscription prices are $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year.

The underlying sources include SEC Forms 4, 5, 144, and 13F, along with 8-K filings and Schedules 13D and 13G. Congressional data comes from House Clerk and Senate periodic transaction reports. Each result may reflect filing availability rather than the exact date an event occurred.

## Setup and configuration

Add the remote endpoint as an MCP server in a supported client, then complete the OQRO sign-in flow when prompted. Claude Code can be configured with:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http oqro https://oqro.io/api/mcp
```

Cursor can use the following entry in `~/.cursor/mcp.json`:

```json
{ "mcpServers": { "oqro": { "url": "https://oqro.io/api/mcp" } } }
```

Claude, ChatGPT, and other clients that support remote MCP servers can use the same URL through a custom connector. The provided setup material does not specify environment variables or a local process configuration.

## Tools and capabilities

The oqro MCP server exposes 15 tools:

- Find companies by ticker or name, then retrieve profiles, SEC-derived financial figures, recent results, and balance-sheet data.
- Review cash burn, debt, profit trends, dilution, insider buying, and red-flag filings for a pre-mortem.
- Inspect Form 4 transactions, Form 144 planned-sale notices, unusual insider activity, and yearly insider records reaching back to 2006.
- Examine congressional stock transactions with official amount ranges, and compare disclosed purchases in a leaderboard.
- Track 13F position changes from the managers OQRO follows.
- Find companies where insider, fund, and congressional activity points in the same direction at the same time.
- Map prime federal contract awards to public companies and view quarterly federal lobbying spend.
- Compare daily, weekly, or monthly closes with the S&P 500, including drawdown from the high.
- Filter and sort approximately 850 covered companies using published numbers.

## Limitations and notes

Filing dates and event dates can differ substantially: a trade may occur weeks before its filing appears. Both dates are shown where available. Senate paper filings are processed with OCR and may be incomplete. Coverage and source freshness are reported on OQRO's status page. The repository files are MIT licensed, while the OQRO service and its data are governed by OQRO's terms.
