## Description
⃣ ☁️ - A 3D printer MCP server that allows for getting live printer state, webcam snapshots, and printer control.

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Remote MCP endpoint (confidence: high). Install path detected from listing signals. Add as a URL/SSE server in your client:

```json
## Documentation
## What OctoEverywhere/mcp does
OctoEverywhere/mcp MCP server gives MCP-compatible AI agents access to 3D printers connected to OctoEverywhere. The service is designed for remote monitoring and limited print-job control rather than local printer management. It can expose the current printer state, information about the active print, webcam imagery, and commands to pause, resume, or cancel a job.
The available print data includes progress, elapsed runtime, estimated remaining time, file name, current and total layers, and hotend, bed, and chamber temperatures. The service also reports Gadget AI print-failure detection status when that information is available. Webcam access supports installations with more than one camera.
Supported printer ecosystems listed by the project include OctoPrint, Klipper, Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, AnyCubic, and Elegoo, along with other printers that can be linked to OctoEverywhere. This makes the project relevant to the Industrial & IoT category for agent-assisted observation of maker and fabrication equipment.
## How it works
The cloud service acts as the connection between an MCP client and a linked printer. First, create an OctoEverywhere account and connect a printer. Then obtain an MCP access token from the OctoEverywhere MCP setup page and provide the service URL and token to an AI agent. Requests can therefore reach a printer remotely, including when the agent and printer are not on the same local network.
OctoEverywhere/mcp MCP server is intended for AI chatbots, agents, and workflows that can use an MCP server URL and access token.
## Setup and configuration
1. Create an OctoEverywhere account.
2. Link the 3D printer to that account.
3. Open the OctoEverywhere MCP setup page and copy the access token.
4. Configure an MCP-compatible AI client with the OctoEverywhere MCP server URL and token.
The documented setup is cloud-based and does not require local server installation.
## Tools and capabilities
OctoEverywhere/mcp MCP server supports these functions:
- Read printer state and status.
- Inspect print progress, elapsed time, and estimated completion time.
- View hotend, bed, and chamber temperatures.
- Read the active file name and layer counts.
- Check Gadget AI print-failure detection status.
- Capture live webcam snapshots, including from multi-camera setups.
- Pause, resume, or cancel a print job.
These capabilities suit agents that need to answer questions about an active print, inspect a camera view, or perform the listed job controls. The material does not indicate support for starting prints, uploading files, editing printer settings, or issuing arbitrary printer commands.
## Limitations and notes
Access depends on the printer being linked to OctoEverywhere and on the MCP client being configured with the correct service URL and token. It also does not name specific MCP clients, so compatibility should be checked against the client’s support for the supplied MCP connection method.
