## Description
Critical minerals and rare earths: supply risk, trade flows, counterparties and sourced research.

## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **list_commodities** — Which critical-mineral commodities are tracked (primary and secondary/scrap), with HS codes
- **search_trade_flows** — US monthly import/export values for a commodity
- **get_commodity_snapshot** — Imports, exports, net position and lead partner for one commodity
- **assess_supply_risk** — Concentration risk (Herfindahl-Hirschman index) with a China-exposure read
- **screen_suppliers** — Screens the counterparty directory by country or keyword
- **generate_market_report** — Full sourcing brief: trade position, risk, corridors, feedstock alternatives
- **list_reports** — Research reports on critical minerals and rare earths
- **read_report** — Reads a published report, or its opening section and contents
- **search_evidence** — Searches individual sourced claims on production, processing and trade measures

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Remote MCP endpoint (confidence: high). Install path detected from listing signals. Add as a URL/SSE server in your client:

```json
## Documentation
## What MiningBridge Intelligence MCP server does
MiningBridge Intelligence MCP server provides structured intelligence about critical minerals, rare earths, and selected battery-related inputs. Supported subjects include lithium, cobalt, nickel, rare earths such as NdPr, graphite inputs, gallium, germanium, and battery scrap. The service focuses on trade activity, supply concentration, counterparties, sourcing, and published research.
Its data includes US monthly import and export values, commodity-level trade positions, lead trading partners, supplier-directory results, and evidence-backed claims about production, processing, and trade measures. The tools are read-only and return output with defined schemas.
## How it works
The service is hosted by MiningBridge Private Limited at `https://intel.miningbridge.in/api/mcp`. It uses Streamable HTTP with MCP 2025-06-18, allowing compatible clients to connect to a remote endpoint rather than launching a local process.
Authentication is handled through OAuth 2.1 using “Sign in with MiningBridge,” which compatible clients can discover automatically. A free account is available. Clients that cannot complete the browser sign-in flow can send an API key in an `Authorization: Bearer <key>` header instead.
## Setup and configuration
No local installation or runtime is required. Add the endpoint as a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server in the client of your choice. The repository contains documentation and client configuration examples; the actual MCP service runs remotely.
Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Cline, Roo Code, and Codex each have documented connection methods. Other clients can use the same endpoint if they support remote Streamable HTTP servers. Create an API key from the MiningBridge account area when OAuth sign-in is unavailable.
## Tools and capabilities
The MiningBridge Intelligence MCP server exposes nine tools:
- `list_commodities` shows tracked primary and secondary or scrap commodities and their HS codes.
- `search_trade_flows` retrieves US monthly import and export values for a commodity.
- `get_commodity_snapshot` returns imports, exports, net position, and the lead partner.
- `assess_supply_risk` evaluates concentration with the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index and a China-exposure interpretation.
- `screen_suppliers` searches the counterparty directory by country or keyword.
- `generate_market_report` produces a sourcing brief covering trade position, risk, corridors, and feedstock alternatives.
- `list_reports` identifies available critical-mineral and rare-earth research reports.
- `read_report` reads a published report or its opening section and contents.
- `search_evidence` finds individual sourced claims about production, processing, and trade measures.
## Limitations and notes
Figures are screening magnitudes derived from UN Comtrade and public disclosures. They are not price targets, valuations, or investment advice. The free plan has a daily allowance and returns summary answers. Pro provides full series, numeric risk scores, named counterparties, and sourcing briefs. Access and data use are also subject to MiningBridge’s website terms.
