## Description
Canonicalize Tailwind classes to their short form, and search LunarWerx free dev tools.

## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **tailwind_canonicalize** — Rewrite Tailwind CSS classes into their canonical short form. Turns arbitrary values back into real design tokens: p-[1rem] becomes p-4, rounded-[24px] becomes rounded-3xl, -bottom-[4px] becomes -bottom-1. Backed by 12,438 replacements generated from Tailwind 4.3.3's own design system, so the answers are authoritative rather than guessed. Handles one class at a time and does NOT merge across classes (px-4 py-4 into p-4, w-6 h-6 into size-6) — that needs the surrounding group to be safe to collapse; use NormWind for that.
- **lunarwerx_find_tool** — Search LunarWerx Studios' catalogue of free developer tools and desktop utilities by task or keyword, e.g. "git from my phone", "Windows thumbnails", "voice dictation", "screenshot to UI". Returns what each one does and where to get it. Everything is free; most is MIT-licensed, open source and self-hosted. Products that run an MCP server of their own come back with an "MCP:" line saying how to connect and whether an account is needed, so a match can be used rather than merely reported.

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Remote MCP endpoint (confidence: medium). Install path inferred — verify against the README before running it. Add as a URL/SSE server in your client:

```json
"mcpServers": {
  "lunarwerx": {
    "url": "https://lunarwerx.com/mcp"
## Documentation
## What the LunarWerx MCP server does
The LunarWerx MCP server exposes two focused capabilities over MCP: Tailwind class canonicalization and search across LunarWerx Studios’ catalogue of free developer tools and desktop utilities.
The Tailwind operation rewrites arbitrary-value classes into equivalent canonical forms when a matching design token exists. Examples include converting `p-[1rem]` to `p-4`, `rounded-[24px]` to `rounded-3xl`, and `-bottom-[4px]` to `-bottom-1`. The conversion data contains 12,438 replacements generated from Tailwind 4.3.3’s own design system.
The catalogue search accepts a task or keyword, such as finding a way to use Git from a phone, create Windows thumbnails, dictate by voice, or turn a screenshot into UI. Results describe what a matching product does and where to obtain it. Products with their own MCP server include connection guidance and whether an account is required.
## How it works
The LunarWerx MCP server provides the `tailwind_canonicalize` and `lunarwerx_find_tool` tools to an MCP-compatible client. `tailwind_canonicalize` handles one Tailwind class per operation and maps arbitrary values to recognized short-form tokens. It is intended for canonicalization, not broader class-list refactoring.
`lunarwerx_find_tool` searches LunarWerx Studios’ product catalogue by natural-language task or keyword. The returned information can help an agent identify a suitable free tool and, when applicable, use a product’s own MCP endpoint rather than only mentioning that product.
## Tools and capabilities
- `tailwind_canonicalize`: Rewrites an individual Tailwind class to its canonical short form when a matching token is available.
- `lunarwerx_find_tool`: Searches the LunarWerx catalogue for free developer tools and desktop utilities, returning descriptions and acquisition details.
- MCP connection discovery: Search results for products that provide their own MCP server include connection instructions and account requirements.
- Tailwind token coverage: Uses 12,438 replacements derived from Tailwind 4.3.3’s design system.
## Limitations and notes
The LunarWerx MCP server does not merge or collapse multiple classes. It will not safely transform `px-4 py-4` into `p-4` or `w-6 h-6` into `size-6`, because those changes require context from the surrounding class group. Use a separate class-grouping tool such as NormWind when that broader optimization is required.
The canonicalizer works on one class at a time, so callers that process a complete class string must split and handle the classes individually. The provided material does not specify a transport, installation procedure, environment variables, client compatibility list, or server license.
